    Quick querstion about blockades HC adds

    We are a casual guild. Got to hc blockades. On Normal we kill the first set of 2 adds then we tunnel the boss and kill it. How many adds do we have to kill on heroic to get the kill ? our best try is around 25-30% and then we killed the 2 first sets of 2 adds. Is there like a magic number of adds before tunneling the boss or do we just need to keep killing adds til the boss is dead on hc ? Don't have any logs, sadly, but our dps is ranging from 13k to 22k ish.

    Im not really asking for specific details for our raid, but in general, whats the correct amount of adds to aim for before tunneling boss?

    Melee should be full time on boss unless add gets too close, have mage or anyone perma slow add and range on it. Is the debuff on the add ? cos it should melt with it. You also dont have to pick orb up straight away let it pulse a bit. Have healers mostly soak Ire since theres no much to heal in P2. Should be tunnelling boss by the time 2nd set of two adds are out. The point is maximize the time on boss.

    The amount of adds to kill depends on your raid's dps, which we don't know without logs. Range between 13k and 22k is not precise enough; 13k is also really low, that's barely above tank dps. On our first kill we killed about 7 adds. On our current farm we're only killing 3 but my guild is overgeared for heroic by now.

    The easiest way to tell is to base it on boss HP. Once the boss is below 15% or so you can stop hitting the adds (assuming that all the previous adds were stopped properly so the boss is still low on energy). After getting it done once you'll know how many adds you had to kill. I would guess between 6 and 8 for a first kill.

    By the way, adds start spawning more often the longer it goes, so you can get overwhelmed spending all your time hitting only adds. You will start to get multiple sets of 2 adds at a time if you take too long. There is no magic number or anything. You just need to do enough dps.

    Our best try was 34%. We missed some of our DPS (as u see we had only 2 Mdps). At 34% it was add number 11. To fast with orb probably?
    You're taking too many healers (or not enough dps). 4-healing a 17-man group is the reason why your dps doesn't cut it.
