the only thing plausible is that blizzard will go wild next expansion because it feels like it will be the last. bfa showed they only fuck things up and the legacy content cat is now fully out of the bag with everyone talking about what will come after classic even before classic comes out.

Not gonna comment much on its validity but this is plausible.

We know the leveling experience is fucked.
We know classes need a post legion redesign thanks to arty loss
We know we have a huge hole in mail class and ranged dps
We know its about time for a big revamp
We know they have tested whole zone phasing
We know they have been talking about a level squish

I like all of this concept. It fixes Alot of issues and is essentially a wow relaunch that's imo much needed.

They could very well address all these issues... but paste a big artifact grind onto it along with more RNG gear... and people are still going to leave by the droves.

Judging by all the groundwork Blizz has been laying for the Infinite Flight for years now I won't be surprised if we go in that crazy direction instead of the predicted old gods and Shadowlands. They really like throwing curveballs with the story lately, whether they succeed or not. So I'm not gonna dismiss this based on the story.

The things like world revamp, level squish, and all that, is stuff that we should expect eventually. Would be nice if it is 9.0.

When you started Cata, at least 6 months or more had gone by till you showed up in SW . SW/Ogrimmar had already been "destroyed" and started to rebuild. Our carachters were away for a period. We went from doings the pre Expansion events to , things had already gone to hell. We oinly gott to see Deathwing attack in a cinematic. I think some people even suggested that up to a year had already passed . I do recall a bit of a outcry because of that as the expansion started off feeling kind of disjointed

I think it was pretty great as well. A big part due to that all speculation and rumors often making up expansion names with four or more words in them with contrived mock-up logos to make it fit, and then Blizzard just went "boom, Legion" :P

It also really built up hype, since it broke the expansion naming norm of theirs, that this was going to be an important one.

Read this yeserday, and I know it has null credibility.
But some things are interesting and I quite like almost everything.
The no hairlooms would be a cataclysm for Blizzard if they ever think of it.
The battle royal? Hell no, but Blizzard already did something similar with Ordos during MoP.
