That’s not really implying it was white people though or atleast not any more then say Asians or native Americans. A lot of people will look at reported crimes with out perp details and assume it’s a black person or a Muslim until they are shown it isn’t. Expressing that some people are more willing to believe reports when they think it’s a black/Muslim perp isn’t singling out white people.

Other people will also assume white people are the perp when there are no details I’m not trying to explode either side.

That's not what "charges dropped" means, like at all.

    I'm assuming you're kidding.

However, this leads to a great existential question.....can a letter be fake if it was successfully mailed?

Charges were dropped in exchange for forfeit of bond and in light of previous service. That’s a deal.

Innocent people get their bail back. Innocent people have NO reason to make any form of agreement that forfeits their money.

Well given the "Maga country" part of the story in addition to what he said I doubt anyone would assume he was also implying Asians or Native Americans. Either way I don't know if he ever said anything else more specific, but I just remember that part of the interview being a little peculiar when I watched it.

Good. And to all the republicans and trump supporters mad: focus on your president that has gotten away with millions of his crimes rather than Jussie.
    change can't wait.

Another conspiracy theory, just like the collusion with russia. We should just stop going after any and all suspicious shit and lying people and evidence because it might come off with no charges being brought. /s

Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law?

    I especially love this part:

"But Chicago police said Mr Smollett had paid two brothers, both of whom are black, $3,500 to stage the attack because he was "dissatisfied with his salary" on the TV show.
His lawyer maintained outside court on Tuesday that the cheque was for nutrition and physical training.
Ms Holmes also alleged that brothers Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, who apologised for "their involvement in this situation" earlier this month, were Mr Smollett's attackers.
"We already know who attacked him," the lawyer told reporters. "The two brothers have said that they attacked him.""

    Just no comments...

I mean, it is Cook County. LOL

"Speaking at a press conference with the equally enraged Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie T. Johnson on Tuesday, Mayor Rahm Emanuel insisted repeatedly that Smollett was guilty of staging a hoax attack on January 29 and that he did it for a raise."

You really should follow a conversation if you're going to jump into the middle of it before you say something like this, which isnt remotely related to what we were discussing.

Elba tried to interpret the prosecutors actions to mean Smollet was essentially factually innocent and the cops were wrong. I contrast with OJ to see if he also believes OJ was factually innocent and the cops were wrong. I never said anything about OJ or even smollet for that matter needing to be locked up. But neither is innocent and you have to be pretty dense or naive to claim that.

I feel like a broken record, use your head. Read what the DA said (about this being the right "disposition") as well as what Smollet conceded (bail money which he was entitled to have refunded in full if the case is dropped) and you can figure out that it was essentially a deal. You can call it what you want but it doesnt change what it is. The press conference by Chicago's mayor and police commissioner explained it pretty well.

The brothers' own attorney admitted the fact that's what the check was for and also that they had received similar checks in the past. Things like this is probably why they dropped the charges, honestly - the Chicago PD leaked fake shit like this to paint an even worse picture than was already there.

This is further proof that life is less "White vs. Black" and more about "Haves vs. Have Nots."
