Starting today, players can once again explore these universe-defining games as they become available digitally and DRM-free for the first time ever, exclusively on GOG.COM!

Warcraft: Orcs & Humans takes players back to the original battle for Azeroth, challenging players to pick a side and raise an army of humans or orcs capable of bringing ruin to their enemies. Warcraft II and its expansion take the battle to the high seas with a host of naval units, and introduces more of the races that make up the Alliance and the Horde, bolstering the human and orc forces with elves, trolls, dwarves, and more.

    Which side will you choose?

The version of Warcraft: Orcs & Humans available on GOG.COM has been fully optimized to run out-of the-box on today’s operating systems. Meanwhile, players who purchase Warcraft II through GOG.COM will get two versions: one that’s been updated with support for high-resolution displays and multiplayer via LAN connections; and a period-appropriate classic version that includes the original SVGA graphics, and matchmaking through the classic version of the Battle.net online-gaming service.

Ready to go back to where it all started? Warcraft: Orcs & Humans for Windows and Mac and Warcraft II Battle.net Edition for Windows are available now on GOG.COM for $5.99 and @9.99 respectively! You can also purchase the Warcraft Bundle, which includes both games, for $14.99.

Neat. Never played through the original games so might just give them a whirl.

I have good memories of them, especially Warcraft 2! i even made a few playable maps 20 years ago.

I can't remember the stories anymore though.

"The maximum amount of Blizzard Balance you can have on your account is $350, or $110 if you don't have an Authenticator linked to your account."

They might have a deal with them to make them compatible with modern PC, it's pretty much their specialty after all.

I checked GoG for new games this morning and practically threw my wallet at the screen when I saw this!
Bought the bundle for $14.99 and have been "testing them out" in my computer lab.

Wonder why they did not just do the changes themselves and add to the battle.net store.

Do you need a Launcher for GOG just like battle.net i just an account and then download it to your PC?

They probably considered that the (huge) rework needed to adapt them to their new requirements (like working through the launcher, using new B.Net function and so on) was too high compared to how much they would make out of it.

No, that's the whole point of GOG. It's ENTIRELY DRM-free, you just download an .exe installer.

You CAN use their launcher (Galaxy) if you want, but it's not a requirement.

Well you could aways gift things to others if it's bothersome to have balance. Idk.

I feel you man. I'm a staunch supporter of GOG precisely because of that. I like that I can just store all my installers somewhere, knowing I can come back in 10 years and they'll still be fully functionnal and without requiring an Internet connection. Click install & play !

True Akka, would have been nice to be on the official store. TBH it ended up in the second best place for it. Nothing wrong with GOG so a good choice.

I love Warcraft, I dislike WoW

Unsubbed since January 2021, now a Warcraft fan from a distance

I probably would not have ever given WoW a try had I not played these two games when they came out. I'm not sure if I will replay them again anytime soon but I'm glad to see they'll be available if I change my mind. I don't understand why they're not on the Battle.net launcher, but GOG is a good site anyway!
