Suicidal behaviour has nearly doubled among 5 to 18 YO in 2015.

    Study: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jam..._term=04089%20

Suicidal behaviour has nearly doubled among children aged 5 and 18, with suicidal thoughts and attempts leading to more than 1.1 millions ER visits in 2015 -- up from 580,000 in 2007.

    Along with that:

The number of Americans who don’t have sex reaches all-time high — and young men are the most affected by the ‘drought’
    https://www.zmescience.com/science/n...drought-04232/

There was mini-documentary on the rising "Deaths of Despair" in America that touched on this issue:

I think this will increase going forward because the main issues are not being dealt with in our society. And it has nothing to do with "diversity" and "equality".

The main issue is poverty, and 50% of the country lives in it.

But MSM will have you believe things like immigration and "moral decay" are the reasons why America is in the shitter.

It is not poverty... watch the video...

And that number (50%) is wrong:

Current estimates on poverty in the U.S. The official poverty rate is 12.3 percent, based on the U.S. Census Bureau's 2017 estimates. That year, an estimated 39.7 million Americans lived in poverty according to the official measure. According to supplemental poverty measure, the poverty rate was 13.9 percent.

What is the current poverty rate in the United States?

29 men answered no on a question about sex and now there is a "drought" fml. I get hammered for small sample sizes in a story on billionaires but this gets a pass. SMH.
Your problem is that you’re more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right.

There are a few studies on this now:

Why Are Young People Having So Little Sex?
Despite the easing of taboos and the rise of hookup apps, Americans are in the midst of a sex recession.

I blame the people like the girl that walked around with a mattress, the #(pound)metoo movement, and VR for lack of younger people having sex.

I think porn, making sex less taboo, and "over saturating" the market all contribute to this. But also things like the economy, social interaction, having to work up the nerve to ask someone out, etc, etc, also play a part.

The professor says "It's a failure of spiritual and social support."

The suicide crisis consists of white males in their 50's. If you're an atheist and alone, there's nothing to keep you from taking your own life. Why wait for a natural death in 10 to 20 years when you can end it all now?

He says there's a suicide belt that starts out in Arizona and goes up to Montana. I live in it. It's mostly rural. People can be isolated pretty easily as your neighbor might be a mile away.

We need to bring spirituality and community back into these men's lives.

Male African Americans in the same age range don't have the suicide problem. Their culture has plenty of spirituality and community.

more propagnda to blame the "neo marxist" for someones personal decisions and to try to justify an ethno state with forced monogomy(state sanctioned rape) so you can get laid by putting a gun to someones head. instead of changing your behavior

Agreed, and it is not just 50 year olds, suicide is up for every demographic except for those that have a spiritual/community support network.

Social media is a big cause. If you're alone and have no friends in real life and have little social interactions outside of the internet it's very easy to get swept up in reading about other people's lives and how great they're doing on Facebook or Instagram. So you'll fall to drugs and alcohol to cope or just decide to end it all.

Right now I have two suicidal clients under the age of 10. A lot of suicidal behaviors in young children is due to genetic influence of depressive disorders, or bullying at school. I don't know what influence social media has on 5 year olds. Social media definitely has an influence on adolescents, but it's not depression as much as it is dissatisfaction with their life due to the erroneous thinking that people on social media have better lives than they do and that they can/should be the next Kardashian. Social media definitely creates unrealistic expectations in children and adults and media in general right now is pretty negative.

What's most worrying for me is how many of the kids I see who are afraid to go to school due to school shootings, or being shot by the police.

They do. Go to a church service in Chicago on the South Side, they are like 8 hours long lol. Overall it's a positive influence.
