So... what's going to happen to her? In the dungeon journal for Herald of N'zoth it is said she succumbs to the whispers of the Old Gods.

Technically the journal just says she rescues the raid from the "insanity realms" that the Herald of N'Zoth sends them into. I didn't see anything about her succumbing or falling.

Well she is horde character so chances are she gets corrupted and die.

looks like she's going to die, makes sense as her character was ruined by bfa and they probably realized there's nothing they can really do with her anymore. imo valtrois will make a better racial leader, and the story of her trying to pick up the pieces after thalyssra's insane decision to have the nightborne join a world-conquering evil faction is going to be very interesting. very excited for the future story of the nightborne.

Probably just means we smack some sense into her during the fight. Imagine though if she DID die and it was mythic only, it'd be Cho'gall again but worse.

Curious is she horde only or is she in the alliance version too?

Poor Thalyssra, I loved her in Legion and even though she joined the Horde, it's still sad to see her bite the dust.

She'll auto attack people until the fight ends, then be free of the influence and thank the player before teleporting away

It probably means that in mythic the mechanic she uses to stop everyone going mad will eventually be turned off, adding a a time limit to that portion of that fight. In lower difficulties the mechanic will be available at all times.

She will almost certainly survive in other words.

That's would I would assume, as well. Given the difference between modes it seems unlikely Thalyssra would be lost.

Shes currently used for both factions. I think it makes more sense to have alleria replace her for alliance, but things could change.

edit: Aaand yep, she is (might be subject to change). Well, it was nice knowing her.

looks like my prediction is right. I assumed the final raid boss is either Greymane or Thalyssra. Expect the last raid to be an attack on Stormwind. Final boss is not Nzoth. Expect the foreshadowing in the Temple of Light in SW and their reaction to voidelves to be a possible boss fight.

The old gods and many void elves are going to launch an old god attack on stormwind. So much forshadowing to this moment.
