The item level jump from BoD is minimal, so I think that guilds will quickly be done with this raid, since everyone at this level should be overgeared.
I expect both bosses to be down before they are released in Europe, even if they are as hard as Jaina pre-nerf (which i doubt) they don't have RNG shit to deal with.
I think Pieces can pull ahead this tier and get a WF especially with them dayraiding.
Also it would be interesting to see if any Asian guilds will be on top, if the raid takes 4 days or more I can easily see them pulling ahead.
Apperently Uu'nat mythic is on par with Jaina mythic, so he may last a while. Is Method streaming?

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
If this race takes more than a few days, I wonder how Method will approach it seeing how some of their best players will be doing MDI this weekend.

Limit is streaming with comms which makes it far more interesting to watch since you can actually hear strat development.
Come on limit, win it boys

I am scared that limit will clear it before EU even gets to play. Heroic seemed really undertuned.
Honestly, the dungeon journal mechanics dont make the last boss look very hard except p3. I think it's gonna be one of those bosses where you have 7 minutes of bullshit before the attempt actually starts, but still hard just because of the number of adds and the dps check (also with just a bit more damage on the scissors, you have to deal with properly escorting feeds through the scissors. But with a large availability of very well geared aff locks, spriests, chickens, and ele shamans, dps may not really matter too much for the top guilds.
Im much more worried about the extra mechanics on each artifact on first boss. All of them are pretty scary, unless it turns out your tanks can just handle most the storm essences.
I really feel like most players are too familiar with the mechanics of star augur by now for it to be hard, especially when it's only a 10 yard aoe too instead of an instant raidwipe. I do think it'll mean we wont be seeing many melee on either of these world first kills though besides like maybe 1 rogue, 1 dh (an exception I havent explored here is it may be possible to cleave both the guardians and boss from melee since sightless bond is only 10 yards)
Also these fights are fucking insane for disc priest, who are already the best spread healer. Both bosses are basically a free permanent 3 purge the wickeds rolling at any time, and is easily the best innervate target in the game right now due to going between periods of high mana spending then dps for 500 mana a smite.

I agree that the sfar augur mechanic should not be wiping anyone in these top guilds and that the first boss might actually look "harder* but I could hardly see Blizzard fuckup tuning that much that the first one would be harder. I'd expect him to be around Mekka/Rasta level.
Then again, look at heroic where Cabal actually is harder than unnat lol
Cabal has more mechanics but Uunat is definitely harder on heroic if doing them at intended gear levels. Try doing last boss at 400 ilvl and watch as the entire raid is shitting themselves trying to survive in p3, there is nothing like that on Cabal as long as you handle mechanics properly.
And blizzard will probably have his damage/health over tuned on mythic(and needing hot fixes) if recent history shows us anything.
Mechanically these bosses are complex, there is a lot going on. The tuning on HC however was very easy. Assuming these are tuned correctly these could be some tough bosses. I've heard people say that Blizzard intend the first boss to be rasta mythic in difficulty and the second to be Jaina mythic in difficulty. If thats true it'll be an interesting race and gives Method a chance to catch up. This will probably need to go until Friday/Saturday for EU to have a chance but hopefully it'll be a close one.

It depends really. If the last boss is a 300+ pull boss then this is the same as any other tier really and the time advantage won't be any more relevant. I hope blizzard do simultaneous releases but assuming the last boss is akin to Jaina then this is basically the same same as BoD as for guilds like Method and limit that was basically a 1 boss tier (and on that tier method took longer to clear the first 8 then limit so a shorter raid with one super hard bosses would seem to be even better for them)
I mean it is dropping max ilvl loot and it just could be tuned more tightly?
For the sake of argument let's say Jaina is geared for people that are 415 and play at their 100%. There is 10 ilvl of leeway that guilds can get from getting titanforged loot etc. If Uunat is geared for guilds at 420/425 ilvl that play at their 100% there is very little/no ilvl leeway to be gained here.
From what people were saying on method stream the tuning of the last boss was to be the same as mythic Jaina on release not its tuning now. I have no idea how true that is and its going off discussions on Josh's stream which claim blzzard said this. If the boss is tuned the same as mythic Jaina right now then it'll be dead by the time EU is up
