Are more girls bisexual than guys?

Most likely there are slightly more bisexual women than men, at least in the USA. Using data from the 2013 National Health Interview Survey, 0.7% of men and 0.9% of women identified as bisexual (https://www.washingtonpost.com/natio...=.1a2f6fa12d2f)

More recent data from gallup in 2017, indicated the percentage of American adults identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender was 4.5%. Overall, 5.1% of women identified as LGBT compared with 3.9% of men (https://news.gallup.com/poll/234863/...ion-rises.aspx).

One would assume that women are slightly higher in all categories to create this gap, though that cannot be known for certain from this data (there could just be many more lesbians or transgenders that account for the difference). Still, it correlates with the 2013 numbers.

Both numbers fairly small and very similar and thus there could be some error, but this is how it stands at present as far as I can tell.

Seems that way at the very least.

In my circle of friends and acquaintances we have a lot of girls, my best friend is also a girl. We play a lot of "I have never...", and ALL but 2 girls, out of 15, have at the very least made out with another girl, and not just as a dare but because of actual attraction. 8 of them have also gone "the whole way". Most of them, though, have boyfriends. Some of them have had girlfriends in the past.
Compare that to the guys, where only 1 of us have done stuff with the same sex, and he's homosexual which explains it.

Also, the term "In my teens I was confused and was exploring my sexuality"? Only heard it from girls, never guys. Every guy I know was 100% certain if he liked weiner or taco when puberty hit.

Obviously this is far from empirical research, but it still got me curious. Is there any evidence that suggests that girls are more prone to being, at the very least, bisexual compared to guys?

Obviously there's nothing wrong with it, I'm just curious because it does seem to be such a huge difference between the sexes and bisexual tendencies.

It prolly has to do with the social stigma attached to determine the ''willingness'' for one to explore his/her sexuality.

Everybody loves seeing girls kiss each other and that behavior is encouraged, while most gay/bi men receive negative reactions and backlash for their choice.

You will probably find more males than females 'in the closet' because of this.

I don't think that's the only thing at play though, I think females tend to be more "pretty" and that's something every human being finds attractive. So girls can find other girls attractive more easily than guys with other dudes. In all my life I have seen some messed up porn, but I have never looked at a gay movie in full, there is just something gross about it to me, nothing cultural, otherwise I would have been at least curious one time behind the anonymity of the net.

Western culture massively sexualizes the female body, while mostly ignoring the male body outside of superhero movies. Even in porn the dude is often overweight while the girl has the body of a model. This shit just leads to people finding girls way more attractive than men.

Go to Greece a few thousand years ago and you'll find a ton of bisexual men, most men in fact i'd say. I seem to remember it being political suicide to admit to being straight "this guy would only sleep with women, how can you trust him?" sort of thing.

So yeah, its culture.

I would say no, because if you look at historical examples where male on male action was accepted and seen as sexy there was a ton of it.

A lot of straight guys dabble in gay experiences but never openly speak about it.
