Foods you like, but others dont?

I thought a thing I find interesting so I decided to ask what experiences other people have.

Is there some food that you like, but generally find that it is disliked by others?


I like liver casserole or in my language maksalaatikko. I have always liked it. Yet outside of my family, whenever it comes up it seems everyone else seem to have different levels of digust towards said food. I remember when I was in army, it was sometimes available. I remember how everyone knew it. It would stink and lines of people went orderly inside one door and came out the other and walked elsewhere to buy their own food.

I cannot understand this. How can people hate such tasty food!

I will eat the utter shit out of black olives. Mountains of them if I could. My wife and both kids despise them.

Can't stand avocado or mushrooms though. avocado because it tastes like something and nothing at the same time and mushrooms because the texture is wrong.

Kidneys, Lambs Fry/Liver, Ox Tongue, raw oysters pretty much all seafood and a lot more nice food..

Also: unsalted potato chips. I don't have any kind of health issue that requires me to avoid salt or anything, but I just like the taste of unsalted chips every once in a while. Most people I know think that's weird. :P

Once when I asked a store clerk if they had marmite he pointed to a different store up the street and said I should head over there if I was looking for "weird sh!&."
