This, this exactly. The song is quite catchy, I would love them to keep the cats though :P

Oh trust me I know, I get the question everyday: "Aren't you offended by this?"
    Camilla: You, sir, should unmask.
    Stranger: Indeed?
Cassilda: Indeed, it's time. We have all laid aside disguise but you.
    Stranger: I wear no mask.
Camilla: (Terrified, aside to Cassilda.) No mask? No mask!

By the way, asking for racist Siamese cats might incur Bruce Lee's wrath.

Its not the original though so why keep an old fashioned song that makes no sense in the modern era?

You're kidding, right? This thread exists because no such idea that Asian Americans might be offended exists?

Can you explain why I should be offended by the song?

Being a product of time doesn't mean it is "okay" and should be accepted because "it is just a product of its time"

Maybe cause they care less about offending people who want racist shit in their movies than the people they would offend with the racist shit?
I have a fan. Seems he was permabanned.

If someone calls a jewish person a kike I call them out on it... if someone calls an asian person a gook... I call them out on it. Me not being asian or jewish doesn't mean I can't call people out for being bigots.

Do you have to be gay to say "calling gay people fags that need to die is offensive"?

Not to mention... Siamese cats are known for their almond shaped eyes.....

Taking offense on behalf of others not seeing something as offensive is another thing though, compared to obviously offensive terms...

Except for the part where the creators of the movie (disney) came out and said, yeah this was a stereotype.

In the context you used, yes. Do you have a better rebuttal? Because arguing that one way or the other doesn't further the discussion at hand. Are you trying to make it about me, or are you trying to prove an intelligible point?

Because every other Disney rehash thus far has done the exact same thing?

I mean it is understandable to change the visual look of the cats and if you were to have a regular looking house cat and not Siamese cats then the song would not make much sense
Siamese cats typically look like the siamese cats I just posted.

My point was why only talk about asian americans as if they're the only ones who should have a say. They are not the only asians.

I grew up having watched the animated movie many times, never once did I put talking cats as being racist stereotypes

And if it didn't register as being racist in the past with most people, why then does that only become an issue today?

Maybe because generation snowflake needs to find offense in anything they can?
Yeah, that's silly. Kids will see cute cats singing a song. They may have an accent, but that's hardly offensive. It's not like they're using Engrish. "You dog! Lun fo yo rife! You die now! We kirr you!"
