You aren't going to convince a brainwashed misogynist of anything.

In this case you are assuming all woman support ot think they will need an abortion. Many don't support it until they need/want one. Now of course if you dig deeper the GoP does love to strip away rights from woman, but that is partially another issue.

Not the debate I was expecting, but in hindsight I should have, really. I hope everyone is okay after all of that eye-rolling. The brainwashing is strong with this one.

Well the byproduct of stuff like this makes having a miscarriage potentially a felony for something you physically have no control over. You would have to prove you had a natural miscarriage and did not engage in some activity that may have caused it. Trying to prove negatives being hard to do this is very very likely to cause major issues as it did in the past.

The Alabama Senate delayed until next week a vote on a bill to ban abortion after an uproar over a key amendment.

The Senate abruptly removed a rape and incest exception from the bill without allowing a roll call vote on that decision.

The move shocked Senate Minority Leader Bobby Singleton, D-Greensboro, who had just said at the Senate mic that he wanted a roll call vote on every question concerning the abortion bill.
Alabama wants to force women to have their rapist's baby. Fucking disgusting.

So even in cases of rape and incest. That's fucked up.

But if it does happen, the body has ways of "shutting that down."

Is this not a thing in your country? Or normal birth control?

So you're supposed to take normal birth control, in case you get raped?

Most women I know are on birth control, even if they're not sexually active because it helps with managing period and pains if it's hormonal. I have an IUD, some friends do as well.

The dumbest thing about using abortion as a platform is that it's always a bunch of old white men trying to tell women what to do with their bodies.

Woman are going to have abortions regardless of what the state has to safe. Making it illegal is just going to mean more unsafe/desperate measures taken.

Plan B (aka Morning-After pill) is legal in the US. However, many pharmacies and hospitals in states like Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Mississippi won't carry, sell or prescribe them. In many regions, the only access is through mail-order companies like Nurx.

In many states, like Alabama, you need health insurance in order to see a doctor to get prescribed birth control.

In the state I live in, California, you can get birth control straight from a pharmacist. But also abortion is legal so I don't have to worry about it.

We have so called Contraceptive Desert states in the US. You can guess which states have the honor of that label.

If liberals don't like the politics in red states, why don't they just move there and flip them blue?
