If you were forced to choose for day to day transportation.

A bike. I already use that as my primary method of transportation.

Honda PCX ELECTRIC scooter, if I can't opt for an electric conversion for something like a replica 356 Speedster instead of a Leaf or Prius.

Lol. Anything with a motor for propulsion. Such a clear choice and according to the poll so far, is indicative of it. I do enjoy walking however and I go for long walks in our own woods nature trails often. Almost everyday during the winter. Our daughter loved horses and she had one on our little farm before she left home. But I do not care for them to use as transportation. I do not trust them and they can be temperamental at times and be startled by a leaf blown across in front of them. :P

As long as I can feed my horse beans and route the gases through a turbo for some forced induction that is what imma go with. A horse is nice but a faster, more torquey horse is better.

Well, here in Africa they can haul 2000lbs of anything with any car including other cars. Manufacturer specs and guidelines are for suckas. I am sure the prius will do
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

I'm sure as hell not walking to work or to visit my parents every day, that would take way too long, though I guess I'd be in great shape (I'd also have to sacrifice a lot of sleep). I don't know how to ride a horse, and am probably a bit too heavy for one anyway. Bicycles and me have never worked well together. Guess that means I'll take the tiny car or scooter, and I prefer a car.

    I'd take the Prius.

When you spend four years in JROTC in high school, do several parades every year for each of those four years, and you have the amazing misfortune to be stuck behind the horse drawn carriage every damned time, you develop a healthy distaste for the walking shit factories.

Damn near a decade later and I still dislike them.

For a day? A horse of course! In my home city you could rent out a carriage for events and ride around. I've always wanted to ride one during the winter months/holidays. Up high with a loved one in gentle snow always seemed so romantic to me.

There is little that is romantic about actually riding a horse.

Several times. Why does it matter if I find carriage rides romantic? Are you going to say I shouldn't like puppies because they shit and piss?

Despite ridicule about Prius and cars of similar ilk...

They save a lot of money. My wife almost bought one but got a better deal on another car.

I'm not saying you can't like puppies or carriage rides, I was just curious about your experience with horses.

If I absolutely HAD to pick one and stick with it, then obviously the car. Otherwise I would get the car and use the bicicle for local travel. Who outside of horse-women and little girls would get a fucking horse in the 21th century?

Edit: Unless this is some mythical steed that jumps through time and space or at least leaves a flaming trail ghostrider style, then I'd pick the "horse" (if you can still call it that) :P.
