    Moving games on new pc

    I have all my steam/origin games on a mobile ssd drive, if i plug it to a new pc do steam and origin find installed games or do i need to do a backup?

    You just run Steam or Origin or whatever launcher so it goes into the registry and creates the other files it does in Users/Temp folders and all that jazz.

    Some launchers arent as smart as Steam to redownload things missing, so its better to simply install properly on the new machine, and simply do the next step.

    Then you simply guide the launcher to the install, whatever that is.

    Depending of the game launcher it might take some time to "identify/read/scan" the files for a few minutes.

    I created backups of gamesaves/settings using gamesave manager, i guess i can restore those backups after games are found by launchers

    just install steam you may need to point it to the folder on that drive for it to detect but other than that it should work fine. As for Origin I refuse to run it so i'm not sure if it is as flexible.
