You literally talked about the negative effect on their brains in the very post I replied to in that post. I know your point is godawful, but come on, you should own up to it instead of pretending you didn't make it. And even if I entertained your goalpost movement here, what does same sex marriage have to do with right and wrong? I'd say it's morally ambivalent. Seems like you want to push your medieval mentality onto the show makers.
If you think same-sex marriage is a "hot button topic", you're a homophobe. Literally the only people with any issue with same-sex marriage, are homophobes. Pretty much by definition, I'll note. And you are the one pushing an agenda by banning media that contains such, to try and conceal it from children.
If this bothers you, I'll also note that nothing requires you to hold homophobic views. You can just, like, stop being homophobic. It's easy. But whining about it when people point it out? That's an attempt to avoid taking responsibility for your own position and what it means, and that's not gonna fly.
This isn't politics. This is two people who happen to be of the same sex getting married, to show kids that yes this happens and no it's not weird, degenerate or disgusting.
I'm not a fan of political movements being involved in child media, but when a large part of the conservative side of the US treats homosexuality like an act of degeneracy to be seen as sinful, aberrant and wrong then it proves the point that kids need to be taught what their parents aren't teaching them.
Gay marriage isn't controversial anymore unless you're as far right as possible on the political spectrum, and in that case then you need to get with the modern era where a single religion doesn't and shouldn't impact the lives and choices of an individual.
