Surprised no one mentioned this, but Gerard Houlier passed away today.
Man was instrumental in building up the Liverpool team in the early 2000's after their barren run in the 90's. Obviously couldn't compete with peak Wenger and Ferguson era Arsenal and United but he took them out of the depressing state they were in and won trophies, as well as helped build them up for their CL win in 2005 under Rafa
Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.
That's United knocked out of the EL then! /pessimism
First Premier League Goal - Brian Deane (Sheff Utd)
First Premier Red card - Nial Quinn (Man City)
First Premier League Hat-trick - Eric Cantona (Leeds)
First Premier League Injury - Virgil VanDijk (Liverpool)
My hate of Leeds has been well documented on this forum before.
This game needs to be liquidated and hooked to my veins.

What a weird season. That game could have been 12 6
Interesting game, expected something like that because that's how Leeds are. It was never going to be a 0-0, and might earlier in the season have been 6-2 the other way.
Of course now the pundits are all saying OGS is a genius and United are title challengers after calling for his head 2 weeks ago. I'm not so sure we are quite there but we're in a good spot, just hope we can sort out this defence in the January window.
Am I the only one who gets tilted when players do stupid time wasting shit like Shaw kicking the ball away behind the line when the Everton player wanted to pick it up to throw in? I dunno, just pisses me off, show some sportsmanship... Not saying he should have handed it to him or anything, but purposefully kicking it away... cunt move
It's even more fucking dumb because the referee just adds time anyway.
Cavani's going to be in more hot water with the FA. That was dirty.

Tuchel just got sacked at PSG, happy fucking chrismas.
Arsenal now has the chance to get a very good trainer and end this missery.

can't wait for roy keane to bag the shit out of vieira if he gets the arsenal gig
Today of all days does Arsenal decide to show up. Arteta will be saved once again.
Ole's at the wheel and frankie and his german players are nowhere to be seen.
Chelsea should have brought Grealish rather than Havertz of they were splashing that kind of cash
You've been a Man United fan for about 3 years? You pipe up when you go 2nd, half way through the season after you've been playing turgid for the last few months? Have some shame man.
I said Havertz was going to be a flop the moment we were linked to him. He's the definition of luxury player. He's young and can reinvent himself, but I doubt it. Werner is world class, he's just going through a bad patch.
City not messing around today, this could get nasty for Chelsea, theyre really not in this game.
