As rumored Larian studio's is making it, just got officially revealed in stadias live stream with a teaser but nothing else.



I'm guessing we'll see more during E3 conference.

I know absolutely nothing about baldurs gate by larian is the only dev I trust so I’ll be getting it day one.

First 2 are worth. BG2 is my top RPG ever.

The BGEE versions are worth imo though there is quite a bit of disagreement on that. I personally don't think I could go back to a pre-kit BG after playing it. Siege of Dragonspear though, is a writing mess, not really worth playing. Alot of the hate I think the EE versions get is due to the shit show SoD is

Considering how well made Original Sin 1 and 2 were, Baulder's Gate 3 should be great. At I'm hoping it is.

So what does that mean for classes? I kinda haven't paid much attention since bg2 on D&D rulesets(and that in itself was kind of a bastardized version of 2e)

Paladins are no longer your pigeonholed lawful goodie two shoes.

Spell casters are far more varied between Wizards, Sorcerers and Warlocks.

Barbarians are early level gods.

End game Druids are ridiculous.

Its its 5e, there should be a class and archetype for everyone. Pretty much every class is good except rangers, but since it is confirmed they are able to adjust some of the rules for its videogameifcation, rangers could likely be viable.

Bards are going to be unrecognisable from BG1 and 2.

Pretty much this, rogues get to having to own stock in D6s by lategame, Monks can throw arrows back and punch from 30 feet, Druids never die, and more. Then you have rangers who struggle to justify their existence, unless you go petless.

Rangers are rarely strong, but 5e Rangers are pretty much broken they are so bad. Chris Perkins has even gone on record saying they need a rework severely but have no time frame for when it will be done. My ranger in my campaign runs a homebrew fixed Beastmaster.
