Don't you get mythic level gear from doing 15 year old battle grounds?

Technically, yea, but your rating needs to be in the top 5% of players doing rated PvP overall.

What makes it even better is that the ilvl bumps have worked this exact same way for every new season for two expansions.

How should the average MMO-C player know with most likely 5-10 days /played max each expansion pack? Most don't even finish one tier.

MoP => DailyQuests suxx || was changed pretty early on => player quit in the first weeks
WoD => Garrison suxx || was changed to one of the most broken gold fountains => player quit in the first weeks
LEGION => Legendary drop suxx || was changed to 100% drops after X content (bad-luck-protection) => player quit in the first weeks
BfA => everything suxx || guess what

Just look at threads about your favourite expansion and 99% of the pro's/con's are about first 1-2week stuff nobody even cares.

The person I was responding to was saying that people were not responding to the content in the thread that correctly state how and why the OP is wrong ... they have just been responding to the OP. In answer to your question, the average MMO-C user should have figured out what the deal is with this particular topic by READING THE THREAD and not just the OP. That was the whole point and it's still true.

#2. I don't know why you're talking about a bunch of stuff that does not have anything to do with the topic of the thread. New mythic plus seasons have only been a thing since Legion and in regards to what the OP was freaking about, they've worked the same for each new season after the first. It seems that maybe you haven't read the thread to know what we're talking about.

I like how this has been proven to not be the case and people are still running with it because they're not actually reading the thread, just the OP.
