So uh...about this new London pool on top of a building.

    https://edition.cnn.com/style/articl...cli/index.html

I guess they want to do a submarine type thing, where they open and close a hatch at the bottom of the pool, to enter.

I read it on Yahoo news the other day at work and thought it was both funny and stupid. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. It's just a PR nightmare waiting to happen when/if people fall to their deaths.

I would love to swim there, but not sure how they would do the whole safety thing.

*shudder* I'm getting vertigo just looking at it.

So you're pretty much screwed if you need to get in or out in a hurry, right?

One break anywhere and you would just wash out over the edge.

I had a character drown in the sims...not because there was no ladder for the pool...but because another sim fell asleep in front of the ladder...trapping the other character in the pool.

Generally, with the way those things are designed, you have a higher chance of the building collapsing under the pool than you do of any of the pools "walls" actually breaking, since the things are made out of the same shit they build marineland style aquariums out of. Stuff is like a half a foot thick and practically indestructible.

I have swum in a rooftop pool like that before. I absolutely hate heights so yeah was a big step forward for me. I am curious as to how people will get into and out of the pool though?

"The solution is based on the door of a submarine, coupled with a rotating spiral staircase which rises from the pool floor when someone wants to get in or out -- the absolute cutting edge of swimming pool and building design and a little bit James Bond to boot!" Good luck getting in or out in a hurry.

It looks pretty terrifying. No force on earth would be able to compel me to go up and swim in one.

Only logical way to get into this pool would be jumping out helicopter, with parachute as extra.
Hard pass, coz I see how easy those things break from Jason Statham movie.
