Soon, your journey will take you into the depths of Nazjatar and the wonders of Mechagon, where even more dangers await—but you don’t have to face them all from ground level. Once you complete the account-wide achievement Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part 2, you’ll be able to take to the skies . . . and earn a brand-new mechanical mount in the process!
To earn your wings in Battle for Azeroth, you’ll need to:
Reach Revered with the following factions: The Rustbolt Resistance and either the Unshackled (Horde) or Waveblade Ankoan (Alliance)
Explore Nazjatar: Ashen Strand, Azsh’ari Terrace, Coral Forest, Deepcoil Tunnels, Dragon’s Teeth Basin, The Drowned Market, Elun’alor Temple, The Empress’s Approach, Gate of the Queen, The Hanging Reef, Kal’methi, Shirakess Repository, Spears of Azshara, Zanj’ir Terrace, Zanj’ir Wash, Zin-Azshari
Explore Mechagon: Rustbolt, Sparkweaver Point, Junkwatt Depot, The Heaps, Scrapbone Den, Western Spray, The Outflow, The Fleeting Forest
Completing Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part 2 will allow you to fly in Kul Tiras and Zandalar, as well as the new zones of Nazjatar and Mechagon—plus the new Wonderwing 2.0 mechanical parrot mount.
Yeah not going to bother with Pathfinder when the expansion is almost over and Classic is right around the corner. Won't be re-subbing until Classic.
Maybe I'll buy the next expansion if Blizzard loses their "anti-flying" craze.
EDIT: Since people are saying "lololol there's no flying in Classic you're in for a surprise" --- No, I already played WoW in 2004 so I already know there's no flying Nice try!
Seriously people, if flying is that important to you maybe you'd be better off playing Ace Combat instead of a medieval fantasy RPG.
Also, you're gonna love classic. All that flying way back when!
Anyway, requirements seem simple enough, and that mount is super cool, can't wait!
I think people can appreciate both Classic & Retail for different reasons. I started WoW in 2004 and I've played every iteration of WoW since.
Frankly flying is one of the things I enjoy in Modern WoW, and it was rather a consistent feature from TBC through MOP. It wasn't until WOD that all of a sudden it became a "problem" for Blizzard. Nobody asked for Pathfinder. It was their excuse to keep us grounded since they rushed the expansion and didn't have the zones completed (capitals were scrapped, invisible wall around Tanaan, etc).
lol, are you serious? I hope for world's sake this is trolling
Oh don't get me wrong, I love flying too. But I also understand why it's important for players to experience the world on ground level first as it gives zones a very different feel and since I can do that for a few months and then fly over everything, I get to enjoy both experiences.
And really, people complain about no flying but you have a 5 minute whistle to the nearest flight master, and the flight markers are like what, every 30-45 seconds worth of riding your ground mount.
I think Pathfinder is here to stay, and I don't mind it.

That's great, but you always have the option to just not fly. Not to mention by the time players reach max level, they've already explored 90%+ of the world content. Additional unlock requirements and time-gating just seems over the top.
Don't rain on everyone else's parade just because you're fine with how things are.
I won't be buying the next expansion if Pathfinder continues in it's current form. Plenty before me have already quit because of no flying/excessive requirements.

Flying wasn't even a feature in Classic though, so I'm not sure where you're going with this.
Isn’t it obvious? You complain about flight not being in the game like it’s some dealbreaker, when the maps aren’t that big and have things to do with WQs all over the map, as well as multiple FPs to take you close to wherever you want to go. Then you make comments about Classic in the same topic, a game that doesn’t have flight, has extremely few FPs, and involves running from point to point for 10-20 minutes of ground running with nothing to really do but chew the scenery (if you’re sticking to the main path).
Whether Classic has flight or not isn’t the point. The point is you make a comment about hating BfA because no flight then make a comment about waiting for Classic, a game that doesn’t have exactly what you are criticizing another version for not having. The way you stated it comes off as hypocritical. If that wasn’t your intention, then just put a little more thought into your words.
