    Why do you want such fps in that game tho? It doesnt really require precision, or is so fast paced that the input lag could make a difference.

    Anyway, as a reference, I have tried it pretty much maxed out in 1440p with a framerate ranging from 100 to 120. I cant tell you the exact number because that was just a hardware test, I just sync it with my monitors refresh rate (75hz) but Im using this;
    Ryzen 5 2600 (@4ghz all cores, 1.35v)
    2x16gb 3200mhz average kingston
    msi rtx 2070 +80to120mhz OC + autoboost, runs usually at 2050mhz @55-60ºC

    Worth to mention, that reaching those kind of framerates might not be possible in certain situations, due to server, or engine limitations.

    Its just a preference, ive been playing other games and getting over 120fps and after buying a monitor that supports it i feel like im looking at a slide show now, i understand i wont get it in major cities or in say 24 man raids, but id like to enjoy it in my savage and normal runs

    You say you're not able to get above 60fps, is it a hard cap of exactly 60fps, or does it hover around there? If it's a hardcap, the game might be limited to 60fps for some reason.

    I'm not familiar with the game, but the only thing that really holds you back should be the GPU.

    After some google i can see that final fantasy xiv is a GPU intensive game, so that 1660 wont get you near the FPS you want. To get 144FPS in 1080p we are talking cards with GTX 1080 or higher performance and i would also OC that CPU

    Yeah you're running into a GPU bottleneck then. 2060 super/2070 super are both decent upgrades, the 2060 super is 5-10% worse than a 1080 depending on the task, a 2070 super is better than that.

    Do you have a monitor that would support the refresh rate? What is your in game refresh rate set to? Hardware to push FPS means nothing if the game or your monitor don't support it.
    "Hunters view nature as a force with which to ally. They spend much of their time with an animal companion. The bond that forms between the two is rather strong. To attack either is to bring down the wrath of both. With powerful attacks in melee and at range, and a friend willing to put its life on the line at your command, the Hunter makes a potent addition to any group."

    edit: I take it back, maybe XIV is optimized enough to actually reach 144 fps. Most MMOs that would be impossible.

    Get the SUPER version, or the 2060 SUPER. the stock 2070 is officially end of life, so prices should shoot up and support dwindle

    If you are lucky you can start to find RTX 2080 for the same price as the RTX 2070 super. They are REALLY close to that price here i Denmark now. The prices are dropping fast on the RTX 2080 and 2080 ti.

    The RTX 2080 ti is down to 1.200$ now, from 1.430$ and the RTX 2080 are down to 750$ from 1.200$

    Im gonna get a RTX 2080 ti, if i can find some one who will pay enough for my RTX 2080
