If the gameplay is not fun anymore then no new content would be able to fix that. WoW is not gonna turn into a RTS or 1st person shooter. Hate gameplay? Should quit.

Funny that you mention "king of online games". I don't think I need to present examples but the "king of online games" is no MMORPG, not even close.

I haven't done the raid or dungeon yet so those might be good, but the two new zones are boring as hell and it didn't (and probably can't) fix the major issue I have with wow ATM, too much RNG and 90% of the specs are ass to play, I can't find a fun spec at all except for shadow priest but that would mean I have to level again and 110-120 is the worst leveling experience I've ever seen.

Happy for you that you are okay with this patch.

Since they failed miserable with that cklusterfuck zone Nazjatar and that bland zone.

We are a long way fromn the MoP Isle of thunder and the Timeless isle patch

Too much content... and majority of it is nowhere close to fun at all. That's the problem, MMOs are meant to be a timesink but time flies if you're having fun... if no fun is to be found, the whole reason to play starts being questioned. Only fun thing I found so far was the new raid and the new dungeon. Everything else is braindead timewaste, mechagon island being the king of it. Unfortunately I have to grind that stupid rep because the essence is too good to pass. And the new dungeon doesn't even give any. Why would clearing Operation Mechagon not give Rustbolt rep? Blizzard logic.

You can stay overly busy in every patch if you want to, It still doesn't make it a good patch..

From the perspective of random busywork needed to get competitive for mythic week 1 it has been pretty exhausting and costed $40 in tokens because I didn't have time to also farm herbs. It has been more fun than it seemed when the patch dropped (getting flying helps) but it the busywork is definitely not more fun than playing a different game. When all the essence farming is done and I am 65 neck I will be very ready to raidlog.

It is just a very fussy and intensely time consuming patch. The dailies involve things like picking up rotten crates to give them to goblins who give you pearls for BiS items once a day and clicking on berries to give to a giant to make juice for a turtle. If you try to explain it to someone who is not a wow addict they would think you are insane compared to another normie game like, say, RDR2. Would you rather pick up rotten crates or go be a cowboy?

I like the raid a lot and the new dungeon is also pretty solid but since 8.2 launch it's like getting a long list of chores that are less engaging than say, mopping the floor IRL, doing the dishes, cleaning out the grill, or going to get my oil changed.

Going to the dentist is more engaging """content""" than WoW dailies. It is more interesting to go to the DMV to get something updated.

The point being made isn't what you do personally. It's about the benthic system itself.

Best patch EVER? Nah. Definitely an amazing patch, though, and I strongly relate to your experiences. Played WoW more in the last month than I have in quite some time.

Lot to do. A lot of uninteresting, tedious grinding that is. It's still the same BfA it was on launch - you do repetitive dailies and grind AP or pearls for the benthic lottery. A new coat of paint doesn't change that. It is what it is, this is wow, didn't expect anything else. Would be better if benthic wasn't a thing, or at least wasn't relevant for raiding.

Lack of content has not been one of BfA's (many) problems thus far.

It's more a hint that the class design is bad and the outdoor content low quality. But, hey... Sure, dramatize and exagerate. It's what most people do around here.

  12. #172
There isn't really much content... there are a lot of rewards for grinding dailies but I wouldn't quality that as having much to do.

They did give out a bit of content patches:

5.2: Rise of The Thunder King
    5.3: Escalation
5.4: Siege of Orgrimmar: Introduced the Timeless Isle

    I certainly wasn't bored.
