I'm just surprised if leveling is meant to be this quick, it's a welcome change after all. But Necrotic Wake, isn't it like a dungeon somewhere deep in Maldraxxus? Not something that you do the moment you arrive there. It still feels like I'm way ahead of the supposed leveling curve.

Necrotic wake is the dungeon at the end of Bastion levelling. So being level 53-54 is right about where you should be.

Necrotic Wake is part of Bastion being attacked by one of the Maldraxxus lords.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing...

From what I have seen, Bastion gives a lot of levels but it declines over time. I only did campaign quests as much as possible. I was well off in Bastion, got to Revendreth at 57, and finished it at 59. You need to do side quests to get to 60 questing.

Azerite wasn't really available before the end of Legion. By the time we return, Azeroth could have returned to that state. Note that the reason given for why it doesn't work in SL is that there are no significant azerite deposits nearby(it says so right on the Heart when you're in the Shadowlands).

You'll probably be using it until close to 60 if you've been leveling it till now, though. A level 95 Heart has iLvl 149, level 51 quest rewards aren't even 100.

This wow YouTuber was playing the beta and doing this monk pet build(very OP btw) and I realized he would be a great actor to play the Joker!
Listen to his laugh but also imagine his hair being black and his face having clown makeup...

It's more about the general design philosphy that has me a bit worried. It's also testing and maybe Blizzard just tested differently this time, but after seeing the steams of the tests I'm not impressed with most of the encounters. At least if they are really supposed to be the heroic versions. Usually some overtuned stuff they claim to be heroic testing ends up in mythic, not sure about this time. With all the extra load when it comes to balancing due to the thousands of combinations I'm also worried how well they will handle balancing this time around.

How fast do you people feel that the leveling to the new max (50-60) will be compared to earlier expacs? And how long do you expect it to take on the actual launch day?

It takes about an hour per level.

Jaina: No...i did nothing to save you the last time but now I can take you from here. You dont belong here.
Arthas: Jaina you have always been like this. You must leave now.
Jaina: It wasnt your fault Arthas. It was the helm...it was always the helm.
Arthas: The helm did not cause me to raze that city. The helm did not cause me to take the journey to it. The helm did nothing Jaina....I belong here.
Jaina: Arthas...if time has shown me anything it is that we can change so..
Arthas:..I DONT WANT TO CHANGE!!! I was the power lich king. I killed thousands. I waged war against the world and if not for the interference of the light I would still be ruling.
I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it.

All in for Arthas’ Heisenberg arc - including a spectacularly evil ‘fuck you’ finalé against Sylvannas; Jerry-rigged soul-minigun and all.

I guess Anduin becomes Pinkman, as a result.

Imo they should remove the ranks of the heirlooms now.

they likely will retune xp before it goes live. because yuou need to finish all the zones anyway.

currently. i wouldnt be surprided if that changed before release. you need to finish all the zones to get acces to covenants. and there is a specific paath from zone to zone (which isnt live on the beta currently.)

Not implemented yet, same with the raid armors and legendaries.

I don't know what happened in Maldraxxus, but :

Something fell from the sky, but it disappeared before reaching the ground

Was finally able to play through the intro quests myself on Beta and I was amazed at how many bugs I was reporting. There were multiple issues with basically every single quest that I did.
Some obvious ones that are most likely only because it is simply not finished yet (missing voice lines for Thrall and other characters for example), which I did not even bother to consider and some small stuff (name of the quests not visible in the quest tracker, for follow up quests the prompt in the quest tracker does not disappear when accepting that quest), but a lot of big stuff too (despawnen opponents, resetting escort quests, strangely scaled enemy abilities (got one shotted by basic attacks a few times), named npcs for quests not respawning, glitching through the ground for an endless fall, Jainas invisibility spell fading halfway through (yeah, not detected by an Eye) yet she was acting like it was still there while Thrall kept engaging enemies in combat etc.

I get it, there are still months until the launch, but the sheer amount of issues I found and reported within the first hour is much more than I would have expected from the Alpha, not even talking about Beta here.

I haven't really been paying attention in regards to Shadowlands until recently - How is it for deathknights, do you get some kind of special dialogue every know and then? Or are you just a regular hero now again?

There were quite a few buggy things in the Maw when I went through it again yesterday, but it's nothing really major honestly - nothing that prevents you from moving forward anyway. Beta is beta and they're probably things that are already fixed. Things have been much more broken in later builds with previous beta's than the little things that are present right now.
