Might not be dragon isle instead a new continent on Azeroth “other side” with the dragon island being near it

You know what? I really hope so. Nobody expected WoD after MoP because it was completely out of the blue (in a bad way).

I really hope the next expansion is starting slow and setting the stakes for the upcoming ones like MoP was the start of the "Legion" trilogy. No death, no void, no dragons.

Give me a break of several years. Let the factions cope with unrest within the factions and not faction vs. faction, e.g. Anduin vs. Tyrande, the outcome of Sylvanas vs. Horde etc. Factions are struggling internally and the major threat is slowly build up and will only have a smaller presence throughout, which will take a major focus then in 10.x and has its climax and conclusion in 11.x. Or even 10.x.

This is kind of what I want as well, but I feel like BfA was supposed to be the first chapter of the "Void/Old God Trilogy".

I'd love nothing more than an expansion without some kind of Ethereal Space Satan pulling the strings behind everything and everyone. There doesn't have to be a world-ending threat for every expansion. Sure, there has to be a threat, but can't it just be us adventuring out to some new land and helping out the locals with their troubles?

I think that leaked logo is actually legit. And that the full name of the next expansion is World of Warcraft: The Bolvar of the Aspects.

Why even pair something with death? Why split themes again? No need to and it didn't succeed in BfA so I hope they don't do it. The death theme isn't even properly build / introduced yet, we don't need something else that goes along with it. Focus Blizzard, focus. Maybe then they can come up with an intriguing story.

Because an expansion of just one constant theme gets boring fast. Legion had two major subplots in Sylvanas and Suramar, WoD had the Iron Horde, MoP had all of Pandaria...

I am kind of banking on the relevant panels being free as well. But don't they usually do a systems deep-dive and whatnot? Those aren't free if I recall correctly, and it's where they go over the expansion in much more detail.

Prophecy of the Void

After N’zoth is defeated the world starts to hear whispers of the Void. Many are driven insane. Azshara is offered new power to fulfill an ancient prophecy. Players will hear the void whisper to them over the course of the expansion as well.

Azshara must find a key that was hidden in the Sanctum of the Aspects on the Dragon Isles. This will open the door to the Void.

Xal’atath is an Old God. She was turned into a weapon in ancient times. Azshara has some of the other Old Gods turned into weapons. You’ll be able to upgrade them as time goes on.

New class is Dark Rangers. They start fighting the Lich King and his death knights. Death Knights vs Dark Rangers is a major theme of the expansion

Sylvanas will be a side story at first but grow more important as time goes on.

Levels are squished, talents reworked, AP is gone and replaced by a path of the titans style system. You unlock your path by completely objectives. Multiple paths to do so.

New set of allied races. Allied races in BfA were about recruiting for the faction war. Allied races this expansion are about recruiting allies to fight the Void. A lot will be titan themed
