I've been thinking about Tinkers for a little... what weirds me out is that it feels like Alliance actually has a leg up over Horde.

We've got:

Gnomes
Mechagnomes
Draenei
Lightforged Draenei
Dwarves
Dark Iron Dwarves

All these guys use tech to a surprising degree and have mechs of some kind in recent content. But then you look at horde....

Goblins
Blood Elves
Nightborne
Mag'har

Isn't it kind of skewed in Alliance's favor? Or am I missing something on Horde? (And no, Vulpera isn't a tech race)

No, because the number of races doesn't really matter, as long as both sides have at least one.

this one could end up having no new class, because they were revamping the current ones

We are talking strictly classes here, since race talk is all kinds of weir with AR added in 7.3.5+

And so far classes have been on every odd expansion number

But most of them felt good throughout legion (or I really cherry picked a spec of each class on my alts). It was in BfA that they felt incomplete.

Fun to me is one shotting people in PvP.

wod >no new races cause working to improve the current ones
9.0 >no new class working to improve the current ones

if you bring allied races make more sense

bfa > no new races, instead, we get allied races "reskin" or subraces kinda of thing
9.0 > no new class, instead, we get class skins/4spec
