Building trains and tanks requires some kind of engineering, but it’s completely different to making space ships etc.

So many leaks after the Bastion and Kyrian leaks... that don't mention Bastion, the Kyrian, the Bronze Dragonflight, Mueh'zala or Elune. Or even the damn Shadowlands.

He wants purely Gnome/Goblin tinkers with an undermine expansion though, while everyone else is hyped for death and either Dark Rangers or Necromancers.

Why would we get another elf only class again? It would be necromancers or tinkers. I don't think tinkers would be restricted to midget races.

At this point just Northrend revamped, very few shadowlands zones.
No new races.
Calia undead and whatever alliance race they wanna pair it.

mists of pandaria would like a word with you.

Mist of Pandaria was quite unpopular at launch? Especially the daily grind was incredibly hated, to the point where Blizzard just got rid of traditional daily quests. The Klaxxi were the one popular faction storywise. Everyone hated the fuck out of the pandas and especially Taran Zhu. Hell, I think even the talent system was quite disliked at the time and people predominantly remember class design fondly, because that went downhill.

I've always viewed Tinkers as just a step up for Warrior/Hunter. Something that you can just teach anyone. It doesn't require any special type of magic or religion or beliefs or sacrifice. It's just putting your mind to learning and experimenting. I think quite a handful of races have displayed the knowledge and desire. Obviously, some don't fit thematically at all(Tauren, for instance). But Tinker is one of those classes that just fits with almost anyone.

BfA was put on the backburner so Shadowlands would be loaded with content just like WoD was.

A few zones updated Warfront style (without the warfront, ofc) but nothing massive

Level squish to 60+10 for expansion

The Shadowlands is 5 zones, we get 2 other new zones

9 dungeons

Tinker class

No races on release but 4 allied races added for .5 patches

Pet battle app

Passive talent tree + MoP style active talents
