If they weren't exiled they wouldn't have found Drathir's research to be able to go down that path. The only reason they found that research was because they went south because they were banished.
The only "bad" they did was researching the void. Alleria was literally immersed in it. You keep acting like they were performing experiments on the void at the Sunwell. Tell me how someone researching the void quite a ways away with no strict attachment at the time is more dangerous than the original void elf who is able to shift into a void form and has absorbed not just one but two void beings?
My "speculation" is that they were banished for researching the void. Which is what happened in game. Your speculation is that they were somehow concocting experiments near the Sunwell which is what got them kicked, which is complete BS.
again, it was not "just researching" just "reading papers" or "theorizing", it was something big enough to get then banned even after previous warning
WE know alleria is "literally immersed" in void, Lorthemar don't know, they only know briefly what happened in argus, they cannot possible have meta lore knowledge to know what she is capable off compared just by being near it compared to people actively doing things.
Again, you are complaining that they should have meta knowledge of things they could not possible know just theorize, and Rommanth did that, he knew it was bad idea and was against it, but lorthemar with his little knowledge let it anyway because he though it would be fine.
what we know = what the characters know.
what we know =/= what characters in lore knowTell me how someone researching the void quite a ways away with no strict attachment at the time is more dangerous than the original void elf who is able to shift into a void form and has absorbed not just one but two void beings?
you simple don't know what the extends of "researching" their "researching" was big and bad enough to get then banished, simple as that.My "speculation" is that they were banished for researching the void. Which is what happened in game. Your speculation is that they were somehow concocting experiments near the Sunwell which is what got them kicked, which is complete BS.
.
Rommath didn't like his research and got him exiled. There it is in black and white. The only reason they were down that far South to find the research is because they were exiled. His research was opposed by Quel'Thalas's Grand Magister, Rommath, who clashed with Umbric and his followers over their research. Rommath eventually succeeded in demanding they be exiled, reasoning that those who treat with the void pose a direct threat to the Sunwell.
If they hadn't been Exiled they would've had no reason to head down to the Ghostlands and wouldn't have stumbled upon Drathir's research.Despite their banishment, Umbric and his followers persisted in their research, viewing the Grand Magister's admonitions as small-minded. Umbric would lead his group south, out of Eversong Woods and into the Ghostlands, seeking to prove the validity of their beliefs regarding the void. There, Umbric and the Silvermoon exiles would make a breakthrough upon discovering the long-buried research of the infamous necromancer Dar'Khan Drathir from many years ago.
So, you think Rommath knew Alleria was immersed in the void and Lor'themar didn't? Not to mention when Rommath is about to object Lor'themar says "whatever she has become" which infers that he knows she's been transformed. You are completely ignorant to the actual facts of this which has been shown numerous times.

no, he prob had a idea, he didn't knew would happen, but though something would happen.
He was prob talking about her becoming an alliance lapdog, even if not, they don't know the extends of her transformation , they could not possible know that just her walking by was dangerous enough, Rommanth imagined something but had nothing. Not to mention when Rommath is about to object Lor'themar says "whatever she has become" which infers that he knows she's been transformed. Simple as that, they don't have meta knowledge.
So, you're thinking that Rommath wanted to deny her pilgrimage for being an Alliance member now? They were quite obviously talking about her transformation into a void elf. Not to mention that Liadrin was there who knew she was void infused. Sylgrin knew she was void infused. You really think neither of these people would've told Lor'themar or Thalyssra who would then tell Lor'themar about her changing? You're honestly bonkers if you think they would've kept information like that quiet.
It's not meta-knowledge. It's pretty obvious they knew what happened to her.

They couldn't be exiled for delving into Drathir's research because they didn't find it until AFTER they were exiled.
maybe, i don't know his intends, since i didn't write the character.
again, they knew she was, but they didn't knew the extend of it, you knew because you saw ingame, you read about it, they don't have meta knowledge. They were quite obviously talking about her transformation into a void elf. Not to mention that Liadrin was there who knew she was void infused. Sylgrin knew she was void infused. You really think neither of these people would've told Lor'themar or Thalyssra who would then tell Lor'themar about her changing? they didn't knew the extend of it, no one else saw what rly happened. It's not meta-knowledge. It's pretty obvious they knew what happened to her.
what they find later was his notes, pretty sure @derpkitteh is saying is they were following his footstepsThey couldn't be exiled for delving into Drathir's research because they didn't find it until AFTER they were exiled.
Remember Argus was a joint Alliance/Horde fight. So whoever saw that knew. Hell, Sylvanas and Vereesa knew before even meeting her and you STILL think Lor'themar is talking about her being a part of the Alliance (which she already was btw, remember, the Blood Elves were originally in the Alliance)
And no, she didn't say they were following his footsteps. She said they were "delving into his teachings and research" but they didn't have any of that, they were doing their own.
from the quests, it seemed that's where they got their idea of void research in the first place.
all in all though, it's bad writing in general. there's no reason that rommath would have banned void study, moving their study to the undercity would have been what rommath would actually do. but this is modern blizzard writing we're dealing with here, precedent, character personalities, none of this matters. the only thing that matters is what story they want to tell in the specific moment. they lack any ability to care for the wider contextual elements.
Until they found the notes Umbric was under the belief they were the original of their people studying the void.
It seems we are not the first of our people seeking to harness the powers of the void. I have found notebooks belonging to one whose very name is a curse... Dar'Khan Drathir.
The Horde has superior everything. Just look at any topic on here.
Horde has superior ground troops, regardless of anything else.
Horde has superior navies, regardless of Kul Tiras.
Horde has superior technology, because Goblins.
Horde has superior magic users, because blood elves and nightborne.
Horde has superior druids, because Tauren(?)
Orcs has superior knowledge of war, regardless of Night Elves and Draenei waging war since literally before Orcs even existed.
The Horde is just axiomatically better at everything, don't you know?
Bellular's made a video
and according to his team the graphics are bang on the ones blizzard use.
