    Is LoL still alive?

Hey guys, I am wondering which game to play to kill the time and remembered this game. But the last time I played was like 5 years ago, is this game even still alive? And is it worth coming back to? I am worried it might be too bloated with new champions and maps and not enjoyable getting back into, as I guess mostly elitist pros will be hanging around and I will not be competitive in the environment anymore?

    Any thoughts / recommendations?

It's still around. It's still one of the most played games and one of the most watched games.

That said, there will be a ton of new champions, a complete overhaul of the rune system and more.

I couldn't have said it better myself LoL is still full of life and there doesn't seem to be anything stopping it.

If you want to avoid elitist, find another MOBA.

LoL is great, but games like DOTA and Fortnite are played more because of popularity.

It is not as popular as before, I prefer playing Fortnite and PUBG lately.

I stopped caring about League after Riot defended banning men from being able to attend their panel at PAX West 2018.

But I don't think that is the bad thing. Less popular means (or should mean) less toxic players.

Yeah, it is still active. I play at least 2 hours every day. Although is lesser popular that some of the new games out there, you can find a large community there.
