Had to go to a country with a billion people to find one person who killed because of a video game.
And not, for example, a drug addict who failed out of school.

It's not as if I believe in what the bible says, it's just the earliest reference I could potentially think of.
It's just that no one wants to think that all humans have the potential for violence, got to blame something else that puts the idea in the head. Which is of course, silly.
In this case, couldn't it be argued that it actually made it better and that taking it away was what made it worse? If we assume this person had psychopathic tendencies that needed some kind of outlet, that is.
Coincidentally, isn't India where they banned porn and found rape rates to increase?
I don't think there's any research supporting the idea that giving people "outlets" reduces their likelihood to commit a crime. Classical/operant conditioning would indicate that it would make someone more likely to commit a crime, if anything, because the outlet reinforces the behavior/desire.
If you have some science though feel free to link it.
I'd murder someone if my only source of entertainment was PUBG too.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..
Ooooo shiiiiit...n I bought three book shelves this summer, there's no telling what I might do...
Attack people with my space ship, murder people in alternative blade runner los angeles in 2017 (yes, I haf a time masheen!), lay siege to Mordor, fight with Aquaman over his crown..
Sure, absolutely important as to what happened. Probably related to the violent outbursts. But research has shown that video game addicts will react violently to being cut off from a game, with no substance use being notable. Probably because early research is showing that behavioral addictions (like gaming/internet addiction) can have an effect on the brain that is similar to substance use. Will be interesting to see where the neuro research will go with gaming and addiction.
Raghuveer Kumbhar and Shankar Devappa Kumbhar in Siddeshwar Nagar in Kakati village of Belagavi. My first reaction reading this was "where in the fuck is this place that we're talking about here?".
What makes this story even worse is that this was over a shitty ass mobile version of PUBG. It's like pissing in a puddle of diarrhea.
With stories like this I always wonder what that kid is going to think 10-20 years from now. Looking back at the time he cut his dad's head off over a game that is no longer relevant or even playable due to it being unsupported by Epic's servers. You got to wonder what he's thinking, if he even cares. Maybe he's just another mentally disturbed psychopath.
But no what am I saying? Surely it must've been all the video games he's been playing that made him do such an act, right? Surely it had to have been Fortnite that taught him how to cut his dad's head off and slice his limbs up. Curse them violent video games!

The game isn't the problem. The culture is to be blamed. A culture where anything goes, you shouldn't have limits or standards, you aren't allowed to share or impose morals or beliefs.
There has been 'violence in media' since before the gaming culture. Have any of you listened to old radio broadcasts, read novels, watched the movies of the 70s and 80s? They weren't blamed for killers' motives.
Seems like a guy addicted to drugs, failing out of school and getting a lot of pressure from his parents made him snap more than him playing a video game. Reasons for things like this aren't just "he played video games and then killed someone for no reason".
VILE VIDEO GAMES OH MY GOD
And you know, drugs may have been involved.
This why gamer children support Andrew Yang so much, with their $1,000 a month they can buy pizza and game updates and not have to murder their parents for questioning their life choices.
The fact he played the mobile version proves he had a mental illness. The drug addiction problem?? nah it was obviously Video games!
