This is most likely the case. They are balancing announcement pacing to keep general World of Warcraft Hype going. We'll also be getting Blizzcon Virtual Ticket updates soon i imagine. PTR updates will follow, and it's very likely we will at the very least have an 8.3 tease with the general concept in October. The big info dump will probably be at Blizzcon though, as others have suggested.

    Yes and no.

Classic happened, and is far more popular than Blizz thought, so that's shifted some of the people.

On the other hand, if you think Classic is the reason they slack off, you haven't been paying attention to BfA at all.

It is pretty cool.. but each one only comes around like what 1 week every 3 months or so?? Pretty inconsequential. If it was like FF14 where the old raids/dungeons could be part of a roullete you can queue for and earn Valor points on a daily/weekly basis? Much better.

Yeah it's what I keep saying about Blizz wanting to give 8.3 room to "breathe."

Here they want to ensure Classic has room to breathe, and not be immediately burried by 8.2.5 releasing with what is apparently gonna be big story moments.
