Dislike an expansion ? Demand more patches/content not less

While reading these forums and other wow related websites I noticed something very bizarre about the fanbase.

When they dont like an expansion at launch, instead of asking for patches to fix / add / improve the issues they have with the game they instead ask for the next expansion to be released faster. "cant wait for X expansion to be over" " Hope there is no patch X.3 or X.4"

This logic is so twisted imo, its like going to a restaurant and ordering a steak. When the steak comes unseasoned or not properly cooked instead of doing what a logical person will do and ask the chief to fix it / add the seasoning ect they instead ask for the menu to order another dish.

You paid for that first meal and its your right that they make it properly no matter how many times they try.
Not simply turning around and paying more money for another dish and hoping this new meal is going to be good.

Anyways thats my rant on people asking for a new expansion faster before enough content/patches are added to the current one.
Am i in the minority here or what ?

When expansions have fundamental flaws more content or more patches don't help. This is the case for BfA and this was the case for WoD as well (WoD could have been made better with more content though). More content would have worked in Cataclysm for example because the expansion had no real issues besides content.

WoD had garrisons that were a major problem and BfA has the bad class design and underwhelming overall features plus a really bad reward structure. Even with 2 or 3 more raids BfA would not become better because BfA's major problem isn't the lack of content.

I agree and disagree at the same time, its true that those expansions had flawed features but it doesn't mean blizzard has to keep adding/using that feature in the patches. Lets take WoD for example, garrisons were disliked after launch right ? Ok then the patches after launch should not add anything to that feature and simply focus on new dungeons/new quests/new raids/pvp map ect ect general stuff that people like to add "value" to that expansion instead of simply moving on to legion and asking us to pay for a new expansion before "finishing" the previous one properly.
