The setup for 8.3 offers a great possibilty for changing a bit raiding concepts.

You have to admit, raiding tends to be a bit pedestrian since 2004, since all the problems tend to be solved with shoving a sword (or a warhammer) in the weakpoints of various people screaming that you are unprepared.

Why not change a bit things, with the powers of N'zoth ? (Manipulation and possession).

Imagine an optional boss in which N'zoth offers a Faustian bargain to one player, in one of his typical whisper. For untold power and terrible knowledge (or a tabard) if the player betray his friends, he will get special phat loot….

The concept, not unlike the ill-fated Evolve, or something, would be that in the encounter, there is one ''traitor'' (or several traitors) who have several options to wipe the raid-designated at random, the concept is to identify the traitors for a conventional win, and wiping for an unconventional win.

This is an example : all the whisper and corruption of the Old Gods could be rendered better than with a DOT and flavor text. Imagine for instance a special 5 man dungeons that is in fact a double dungeon with a Horde and Alliance team : if you cooperate (resist N'zoth) you have X loot, if you succumb to it and betray, you have Y loot and the vainquished team too, if the betrayed team turns the table, they have extra loot...

What I mean is that the entire divide and rule, possession, manipulate theme of N'zoth could be used a more creatively than ''Oh my god, more purple tentacles than a late night anime''
