I think he's too busy suing anyone he can. He dropped the lawsuit against a cow on Twitter and picked up one against Esquire for reporting on the fact that his family farm (that he does nothing with but still claims to be a farmer) was moved to another state years ago and employs illegal labor.

He's truly one of the most snowflakey of snowflakes, second possibly only to Trump.

Technically that is the general actions of the right in recent years. Semantics over substance is huge for them when it comes to debate.

Trump can't be defended. Not really. They try stuff like hear say, and yea the whistleblower was all hear say which Trump promptly responded to with a document proving it all correct that would be admissible in any court.

Any time Trumps staff and party tries to come up with a justification for his actions he always ALWAYS has to come back out and crap in their face and go "NO I did it, it was all me, I'm in charge, I'm the boss, things happen because I want them to happen for the reasons I say."

They can't win. But Trump still has his diehard base that is suspected to be about 30% of the country who won't even believe Trump did it when he said he did it. So all republicans have to do is say things that sound good to their base, and even things that can be refuted out of hand will still be believable to them.

I’ll be honest this is worse than Nixon. If Trump resigns and gets a pardon would Trump be safe?

Nope, the day Trump leaves office is likely the day that New York issues a warrant for his arrest.

To be fair, this isn't necessarily making a statement against Trump or his actions. Grassley has always been on the side of whistleblowers and is behind a lot of whistleblower protection legislation, and he likely has plenty of allies of his own on that front. It's also the easy way to pretend they care about justice while having no intention of carrying it through. Kind of like how they went along with the bare minimum of the Kavanaugh investigations.

Joni Ernst, either has to break both of her oaths of office that she took when joining the military or the senate office she holds, and support Trump, or do her job, and do the right thing and impeach Trump. I have been talking mad shit about her on her Facebook page. Same with a lot of people about the stuff with Farmers getting billions in bailouts, instead of telling Trump to cancel all of the Tariffs that he has levied. You know, "socialism" for farmers.

I believe New York is just waiting to pounce on him over tax and fake charity related crimes. So pardon won't do shit, he's fucked.

No, because there are state charges waiting (specifically, in New York), and a federal pardon won't touch those.

So Pence pardoning him wouldn’t protect him of everything he’s gotten into?

If Pence could even do that since he is also caught up in the same scandal. He should go down with Trump.

    Look up Saturday Night Massacre.
I know about it. The AG and Deputy AG fired for not agreeing to fire Cox (special prosecutor) and finally Bork (Solicitor General) agreed to.

What does this have to do with investigations. There were several resolutions to impeach following the news briefing by Cox's deputy, but unless you can show me an actual investigation by the House in 73 then I can only assume you are mistaken.

I don’t disagree but it looks like everyone covering their own asses is beginning.

    Pence could have deniability

Pence's only defense is "Trump made me do it, here's everything he made me do" and the timeline for that ran out about a week ago.

Then surely you can provide some kind of citation proving so.

I freely admitted I was wrong in the acquital debate. Either provide some evidence or admit you are incorrect.

I'd love to see him try that. I'd love to plaster "party of personal responsibility" all over that.

I don't think he does, since he specifically met with them and told them they aren't getting the money they asked for, because they won't investigate Biden.

Well up until now the congress had to argue the whistleblowers complaint. But now flat out commuting the very crime he’s being investigated for on national tv.

I was thinking he was the only one 100% done.
