Its true. Did you hear him talk about toilets like 3 days ago? And they still want that? Lol

He can literally say whatever comes out of his mouth and his base would cheer at every word. Especially if it doesn't make sense. Why? Because they don't either.

Depends on what the Dems put up. Seeing as the Russia boogeyman is still being used to tar non-preferred candidates I’m not holding my breath.

Articles of impeachment not based on a subjective reading of events was what I was hoping for; I’m disappointed but not surprised this isn’t what we got. Was so cringe reading that Schiff quote about the oath of office when the same subjective reading of events could apply directly to him. This kind of double speak by the status quo is exactly what I was so sick of in 2016.

I mean post primary season once the Democratic candidate for office is decided. Trump is not objectively the worst possible candidate for office even if I don’t like his conduct and I don’t yet know who the opposition candidate will be.

Decades ago, durring the Bush Jr years - I said similar about Republicans, but back then I said if it was Osama Bin Laden instead of Hitler.

Here's a clue to the order, one of them is still alive, has color photos of him, is still alive, didn't live in the 1800s, and is still alive.

Which democratic candidate is objectively worse?

Keep in mind that Trump is a proven racist, misogynist, extremely disrespectful against the military, supported a phedophile, paid a porn star hush money, scammed people with trump university, desserted the kurds who helped the US, is ruining the alliances the US has.... the list goes on.

Which dem candidate is worse? Keep in mind that I’m not adding that he’s a retarded asshole which he is, but merely pointing out objective facts.

Take it down a few notches, there. Pretty sure he was unsure about it being Andrew Johnson, not about whether Bill Clinton was impeached first.

I honestly believed post-2008 that there couldn't be a worse President than George W. Bush.

I've since revised that and said the only benefit the Dumbass Dump regime could bring is that it would eliminate George W. Bush's reputation of being worst president by unimaginable leaps and bounds. >_<

I'm also making it a point for the next 20+ years that, whenever I engage in a political discussion with somebody - I will openly ask them if they supported Trump or not. Never would I ever consider doing that with any other president, even GWB... but he's such an unbelievably low bar - it's super easy to dismiss somebody's opinion now if they supported him.

I could not agree more - these impeachment proceedings have just made it abundantly clear that Trump is the worst security threat to the United States we've seen in at least a century.
No one is above the law!

Whats so funny ? Is that i dont recall 19 century american history off the top of my head.
Because i was merely responding to someone asking if nixon was a democrat and i correctly pointed out that Nixon is not counted among the 2 presidents that have been successfuly impeached

    Absent from today's impeachment announcement:
Bribery and extortion. 2 words used non stop for several weeks to try to get the public on board. Obviously these can not be proven. so what was the point of using it for several weeks and wasting time?

Also not in today's announcement--obstruction of justice. Obstructing justice was part and parcel of the Clinton and Nixon impeachment procedures. Not so this time. Why not?

Also absent: The charges being in the Constitution. Neither charge is specified in the Constitution’s impeachment clause, which reads: “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

I assume the democrats are pretending both of their "charges" fall under high crimes and misdemeanors? Bribery is listed and they said it for weeks, but now...not?

All of it doesn't matter because it goes down in the senate. Everyone knows this, but I am glad the democrats are putting people up for reelection on the impeachment record. Will they vote partisan or will they vote to try and save their seat at the table knowing that it dies in the senate? All politicians are about power, is it worth risking your chance at power on something you know fails anyways? Bring on the partisan"But they should vote their conscience"....hahahaha bring on the delusional.

I don't see Clinton's crime listed there either, so I guess his impeachment was all a "witch hunt"?

Or Nixon's, who wasn't impeached but would have been.

If you're going to be that literal, deal with the consequences.

Try reading the Federalist Papers since you seem confused about what high crimes and misdemeanors means.
