...unfortunately it was diluted by the fact that he knew he was dying and would never run another election again, but, oh well, I guess.

Then maybe that's the solution: limit politicians to a single term so they'll actually govern fairly instead of based solely on what they can do (or conveniently not do) to get reelected.

Schumer is asking for stuff like documents and witnesses, McConnell is asking to table. The dems in congress argue well why it's a good idea, Trump's lawyers argue and lie poorly that it's a bad idea, and then they vote to table, which has passed 3 times now along party lines. They are on dinner break.

Ah, figured they would try and rig it to let him off the hook. Just hope they don't manage to rig the 2020 elections as well. If they get that far, I fear what the future holds for us as a nation, no matter where it goes from there, it would be bad.

Well, the dems are basically nailing this. And they are forcing each vote which puts all these senators who are at risk on record. They will try to rig the elections again, but Trump has made some enemies too, like iran, It's not gonna just be russia trying to rig it this time. Our elections are basically fucked.

The house needs to do this if the Senate won't. Call public witnesses, release testimony and evidence. Do the job the senate won't at the same time as the senate's fake trial.

Glad to hear it, from what I am reading, the Republicans are basically trying to whore out the Constitution, Law and Order, the Nation and our own people's future just for political gain now.

We REALLY need to keep an eye on our next elections, because it really feels like they will try something there given how dug in they are at this point and they know what happens when they lose power.

It's like they don't care about their legacy at all at and at this point it is mere survival because once they are out of power, they are screwed possibly legally. What does Russia have on them at this point? I doubt Trump has any of it otherwise he would have leaked it bragging.

They don't care about their legacy. All they care about is judges. That's basically the only thing that get's voted on by the senate these days. That's how they stay in power and keep the system rigged by having judges in place to keep people from their voting rights.

Well it depends on the work site. When I was working commercial, it wasn't uncommon for people to have the news on for something like this. At my current job, nobody is watching it, because we are moving around a lot of heavy machinery and nobody is sitting down. It totally depends, I have been in both kind of jobs. I didn't hear any of it until the car on the way home.
