Anduin is a great leader and one of the only logically consistent characters in all of WoW.

And you don't understand sarcasm and make ludicrous assumptions about others due to your politics.
"It's not REAL capitalism" Lmao, everytime. Pure capitalism is pure fucking cancer. Get your head out of your ass.

Keep this drivel in the off topic section of the forum where it belongs, I would address Shiza too, but he/she is already on ignore.

And you don't understand the basics on which the Goblins as a race and a culture work from a narrative perspective.
i do, in fact, thats why i think Gazlowe fits well enough.

I mean, I understand the narrative foundation for the goblin race, which is to act as a satire of american capitalism. This is why they work as a joke race, because the joke has put some thought into it. Like, how they twist the whole shaman concept from being a nature focussed guru who has a pact with the elements of the world into them basically cheating elementals into shitty contracts. Or their priests being televangelists. So its fitting that their leader is a scummy, greedy billionair who basically does everything just in his own self-interest and somehow gets away with it. Putting some generic nice guy goblin at the top ruins the joke.

You still don't understand what the joke about the Goblins is and why Gazlowe doesn't really fits the joke.

Bravo, a magnificent display of illogical nonsense and irrational hatred based on your ill-informed politics. The arrogance of lecturing someone that they don't understand fictional characters based on your biases! As if Blizzard was capable of some deep and subtle parody like you suggest.

The gallywix story was teased at the start of BfA. Along with many things missed by the community

maybe you want the goblins to be a joke race forever, in your conception of joke, but others do like the race in the wow lore, and he does fit.

Like one guy said before, he kinda have a vibe of Godfather and work like the mafia in BfA, you can stay with the joke of capitalism or wharever, but to me that was pretty cool and i would like to see more

Are you really trying to spin that Europe is the great bastion of racial equality?

Goblins are inheritly a joke race. That's their very nature. Taking away that from them would be like taking the dark, horror-elements from the Forsaken-, oh my god, Blizzard actually is doing that and lackwits are thinking this is outstanding storytelling.

And Gazlowe is so far the most generic and forgettable goblin character I've ever seen in my 12 years of world of warcraft. Can people stop acting like he is important or memorable, just because a friend of a friend of yours once told your friend who told you that Gazlowe was in, gasp, warcraft 3?

they still can do jokes with then though, it was pretty fun when Gazlowee took the gnome by the neck

he is doing stuff since WoD if you play the game, and character get more importance as he get focus, is what they are doing now.

Really? Where was Gazlowe involved, which quests? He is kind of so generic and boring that I always keep forgetting if it was Gazlowe or some other random named Goblin.

like i said,e veryone is generic and boring and people never rly noticed until they start doing stuff, like, Gallwyix didn't even exist until cata

I mean, yeah, Gallywix wasn't created up until Cataclysm. Just as the old gods weren't created up until the AQ quest. Or Garrosh doesn't exist up until BC. What is your argument here?

  17. #217
    it depends on perspective

I as one played warcraft since WC3. know lore well. have done Wc2 and lord of the clans. etc
    so Gazlowe is not unknown.
he was important in wc3 (more than Chen or Rokhan who were just sidekicks od Rexxar at the moment)
he was in Classic and was one of the goblin town leaders (everlook had none. booty had revilgaz. gadgetzan had chief of water company who was replaced by noggenforger in cata)
so he remained in Cata. and returned both in novels as supporting character (Shattering) and in-game (WoD. Legion invasions. BfA expeditions and story)

so one cant say he is useless and unimportant.

just he is normal Goblin (is neutral for profit. is friend for Horde leaders but money comes first. and uses horde vs Alliance to avoid conflict).
Gallywix was ok character but became favorite (at least for me) after short stories (autobiography and possible future in Blank Scroll)

also he had nice catchs with Geblin

none are bad. some might prefer one and others might prefer another

First hints of old gods are in the original Darkshore quests, and we're supposed to slowly come to understand they exist before being confronted with the horrifying reality of C'Thun. Almost like Metzen read/ripped off Lovecraft.

Let's pivot away from real-world politics and economics and focus instead on original topic of the thread.
"We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
