Despite what Blizzard is saying - Alliance still has a SPACESHIP, seasoned war heroes like FUCKING Tyralion and Alleria, Malfurion (who caused the great Sundering), Velen, the Prophet (who mysteriously is MIA the entire xpac). One of the most powerful mages on Azeroth (Jaina)

When it comes to lore characters, the Horde has no one to match up with this force. Yet, the "Highking" is somehow "alone".

People hate Anduin because he is the amalgamation of the devs hate for the Alliance. He is the embodiement of the devs desire to make Alliance dumb losers.

Can't even take you seriously now. He's an Archdruid, chosen as a student by Cenarius himself, brought about the Great Sundering, was fighting (and winning ofc) against Sylvanas and her troops in Darkshore.

Sylvanas wouldn't have gotten anywhere near Teldrassil if it weren't for Saurfang's axe.

I'd rather not want guidance from the faction who managed to have demons fuck up their shit several times by basically inviting them to or from the faction who screwed over so, so, so many countless worlds because they were unwilling to take a stand and were the reasons orcs landed on Azeroth to begin with.

Just because Tyrande is old does not mean she is smart, and she has proven that time and time again (and no, not just in WoW, she wasn't any better in WC3).
He was Velen's student though. Then we have Alleria and Turalyon+his Army of the Light who fought the Burning Legion for ... very long. Tyrande has been a leader of her people for 10k years. You don't stay on top for that long if you are dumb.

No. He's simply the face of the Alliance's failure.

Oh, he sacrificed plenty. Or more like, he gave his allies lives - which were not his to give to begin with - for being "good".

    Now is that really "good"?

This is kind of why I want him overthrown.
This line needs to end, and it should have ended with Varian.
When you compare the top 1% on each side, the Horde cannot begin to hold a candle to Alliance.
When you compare warships, a fleet of zeppelins would be laughable fodder for a spaceship with freaking lazers, which by the way is full operational and just, like, chillin' (LFGoats use it as a capital, after all, and I cannot recall a single thing saying its weapon were decommissioned or whatever).
Jaina could probably wipe out the entirety of Thunder Bluff herself if she were so inclined to test her limits.
It just goes on and on; even if the Horde is 3-1 ratio, the power is skewed vastly towards Alliance.

They need to get away from the Menethil bloodline and write the Alliance as the betrayed, angry side for once.
Put Jaina or Genn or someone else as equally crazy at the helm for once, let them go full bore and destroy TB or SM, have them get revenge by blood.
Throw the Horde back onto its heels for real; not the "True Horde" Garrosh wanted, or the "Iron Horde" that the AU Horde wanted, or even whatever you want to call Sylvanas' group... the actual, real Horde.
Throw Anduin in chains for allowing war criminals to escape then basically saying "you murdered millions, but it's cool", try him for his own war crimes, then move into risky uncharted territory where both sides have reason to fight.
Otherwise, it's a bunch of the same; the human being the bitch who wants peace while bloodthirsty hyenas swarm around him.

Hating Anduin would be giving him way too much credit. He's boring to hell and back, and also a sort of narrative black hole. This describes him perfectly:

It is a character that is intentionally made by the author to be overly positive. They almost never have any flaws that actually affect them in a way that truly matters, usually going for endearing traits such as "clumsiness" or naïveté, instead getting overloaded with overwhelmingly positive but largely passive traits (i.e. beauty, innocence, etc.). The character will usually be soft-spoken, have a pleasant voice, and be mild-mannered. Often, the traits verge towards the ethereal, with auras, non-human lineage, and other such things. She may be a Barrier Maiden or a Miko. And the narrative will almost always go out of its way to describe her as a virgin. Bonus points if her modesty and virginity are what set her apart from "all those other girls," and/or has no real bearing on the story or her role in it.

Like all Mary Sues, she doesn't do enough to justify the positive response. And as usual it's the writer's fault. A character who would come off as wise and pure in the hands of a better writer, motivating the main characters in their down-time, turns into a smiling ditz who manages to convince people to do the right thing just because we are informed that she is wise and pure, and somehow she is the main character. She's usually cast as a passive motivator of other people, inspiring them to strive towards the author's goals by her very presence alone. Oh, sure, she might smile, offer encouragement, write articles, and other such things, but she gets such a disproportionately positive response that it soon breaks the Willing Suspension of Disbelief.

She often overlaps with a Fixer Sue. Almost never truly overlaps with God-Mode Sue because her overwhelming righteousness is usually the focus of the story and not her objective actions.

    (...)

Purity Sue pretty much exists to be loved by everybody for being (as the plot tries to suggest) "perfect" (or close enough) in every way that matters. If it's less about the character's actions and more just about everybody's fascination with the character, it belongs here.
In other words, he's the result of bad writing, simply put.
"The heart of the Horde" = Alliance-approved Horde

It really does not make any sense. Genn is in no position to do anything big. Gilneas was not that big of a kingdom to begin with, and despite their having possibly the best soldiers in Azeroth due to the potency of the Worgen curse, is that really enough to do anything?

And who would the 'moonemo' be? If you are referring to Tyrande, the title of High King was invented such a long time ago that I don't see how that would make any sense.

To be quite honest, High King of the Alliance is just another bad decision by Blizzard to make both factions seem identical, separated by aesthetic pretty much. Which is, of course, nonsensical.

High King could be just another badly managed piece by Blizzard, won't be the first time something like this is happening. They like to equalize/homogenize everything nowdays, so the title might as well just be spat out there, as an equivalent ot Warchief. Fact is tho, it's still around.

Regarding Genn and Tyrande, I just believe they are way too unstable, and the only thing keeping them from doing something stupid and create additional, needless chaos is Anduin. About forces, odds and stuff like that, I don't think anybody considers them when he/she's rampaging (myself included).
