Yes big shocker to everyone, all you need to succeed in mythic is awareness of mechanics and skill at executing them, we are baffled and surprised by that revelation. That's like saying "medicine is only by a matter of remembering facts". Technically not incorrect, but also such a gross oversimplification it might as well be a non-statement.
I stopped trusting sims in 8.0 because it varies heavily on fight duration and amount of targets

Spriests were considered broken ever since voidform was introduced, a broken and unwanted mechanic. Surrender to madness only broke the game even further.
Spriests became a niche spec, you were OP on 2-3 target fights but were horrible in M+ and single target.
Remember the days when blizzard didnt nerf X just because it was good, because at the end of the day having your BUFF UI Look like this that it basically prevented any sort of Melee/Ranged/Spec/Class stacking? Sure maybe 1 too many paladins and maybe 1 too many death knights, but Aura Mastery, Divine Sac and Deathgrip were all incredibly strong on this fight.
MYTHIC DIFFICULTY WAS A MISTAKE.
BUFF BLOAT WAS A CHECK AND BALANCE ON CLASS STACKING.
UTILITY HAD VALUE.
YOU DIDNT NEED TO SPEND HOURS FARMING RANDOM ROLL STATS JUST TO BE GOOD ENOUGH TO BE A LEADING EDGE PLAYER.
