No but you don't get it you have products from China and all businesses are scummy so just ignore it, nod your head and get excited for next product.

No they don't. A private corporation in USA is not bound by any kind of freedom of speech laws.
exactly so they can keep any side off of it.. which is what I'd do if I ran the platform.

Get out of here with your false equivalence BS. Allowing it to be stated on your platform that people should have basic human rights and freedom from oppression by a tyrannical government doesn't mean that you suddenly need to accept all other political messages and stances. That should be something that literally everybody agrees with, bar paid shills, edgy contrarians and other general human sewage.

Remember, all businesses are bad so we shouldn't say anything about it.
Get your phones and consume product. Nothing to worry about.

Seen a lot of that so far.
The saddest part is a lot of them do it for free.

I'm surprised MMOC didn't add to the rules that topics criticizing China are forbidden. After all MMOC is owned by Curse which is owned by a Chinese company.

ok so speak out against China, then Sudan, and 100's if not other cases around the world and suddenly its no longer a gaming platform at all. Or do you only care about the ones HK and not other locations? The company has a right to say none, or allow some but allowing some and not others does them no favors and shows taking sides. Most want to stay neutral cause the west has made China into such an important economic power thanks to consumer demands.

Honestly, this is the real reason why people jump on this. The human rights aspect is just a bonus, a welcome trigger. Even if you don't care about HK one bit, you should be at least aware how that new and steadily growing market will affect YOUR hobby now and in the future.
Onlything that I recall having affected WoW is the Pandaren speech.

if you're fighting for the freedom of your country, you're not gonna consider yourself with being childish, you're gonna consider yourself with reaching as many people as possible.

    and blitzchung succeeded in that.

lol, you're literally proving my point.

we hear more because there are more people speaking up to bigger audiences.
Im all for people knowing what is going on on the planet but i just find stupid that this case got so much uproar and the other protests people don't talk about.

The point is Blitzchung knew that what he is about to do will get him banned and he wrote that in his statement.
Blizzard did nothing wrong, and are getting a lot of hate right before a huge event (Blizzcon2019)
People are screaming that Blizzard is sucking China's dick, even politicians are talking about that but they forget one thing. Americas biggest trading partner is China.
These are America’s top trading partners for 2017, ranked by total exchange of goods:

    China – $636 billion
    Canada – $582.4 billion
    Mexico – $557 billion

So its not Blizzard sucking China's dick, its all of USA.
And people who want to boycott blizzard should understand if Blizzard looses the China money then they need to fire American employees and that is for all other company's that trade with China or make business with them.

It is politics when the free hong kong movement has started assaulting innocent people in hong kong who are peacefully showing their support of the chinese government there has being many cases were the civilian population has started attacking each other and first civilian v civilian which have being reported has being done by free hong kong movement. As such if you support the movement you support the assaults and if you support the police you support their assaults which both is bad as such it is best just to stay out of it.

99% of those people don't assault anyone. A few exceptions sure, but mostly peaceful beings - showing their distrust in HongKong's government giving in to China's regime.

China is doing far worse things than replacing the hong kong police with its military. It has been for at least thirty years.

So? still don't change that rioters are beating up people who are beating up people who disagree with them and people who are leading the riots hasn't shown that they disagree using violence against people who just disagree which makes them bad too so choosing between people who use terrorism and goverment who uses terrorism is like choosing between bad and worse. Best way is to not take part in the thing by not showing opinions.

Tell me about it. I've never hated an internet outrage culture movement more than this bullshit, people are beyond stupid.
