    Question So.. after Legion.. time for additional demon summons?

    Seeing as Legion brought us a plethora of new demons, isn't it time, perhaps also in the form of glyphs, to add more demon summons?

    Maybe also in a way of permanent enslavement, similair to hunters.

    That way, we have a little bit more variety!

    What do you think?

    It's an argument as old as TBC, yes we'd like new demons, no Blizzard probably wont bother.

    Actually they did add upgraded demons and permanent doomguard and infernal and it didn't work out so good.

    In case you haven't noticed, Blizzard is on a full-scale rampage on destroying all remaining bits of charm each class has. So don't be surprised if you loose any of your current demons, instead of gaining more...

    Demonology got felstalkers in Legion and Tyrants in BfA. Affiliction got Darkglares in BfA. Granted, they are all cd's but so is the Doomguard and Infernal.

    Amazing sig, done by mighty Lokann

    All the doom and gloom of previous posts aside, what would be the purpose of adding either entirely new summon (gameplay function of the demon) or new visuals to existing ones?

    New gameplay needs to fit in, but how?
    New visuals have to fit the general type of demon to avoid confusion. Like, using Shivarra model on Imp summon, that's no good. And even though the felhunter could be replaced with a beholder, there are still limits to which types can be used for each demon.

    I'm more talking about being able to pick and choose like Hunters.

    well, similair to hunters, you can make demons fit a certain type. Have all different types have 1 special flavour-attack, like what they have now.

    That way, the demons will still function the same, but have their special skill - just like they do know.

    Then, you can choose from a larger array of demons, mostly just visual. I'd love to be able to use those new models as permanent minions!

    They should just make Demo a tank spec like a lot of us has been asking for since Vanilla. Keep all the crazy demon spawns, but just focus the spec on tanking.

    It would be very freaking cool, and different (which is why it won't happen, it's a foreign concept to them).

    You can already glyph your summons to appear differently.

    Imp -> Fel Imp
    Voidwalker -> Voidlord
    Succubus -> Shadow Succubus, Shivarra, Fel Temptress
    Fel Hunter -> Observer
    Felguard -> Wrathguard, (Change Weapons)
    Infernal -> Abyssal
    Doomguard -> Terrorguard
    Eye of Kilrog -> Demon Eye

    Do we really need more options?

    Doomguard is no longer a thing, so neither is Terrorguard.

    Abyssal doesn't exist anymore either, not sure about Eye of Kilrog.

    It worked out completely fine. Blizzard pruned them for some absurd reason.

    It's a matter of perspective then. I personally hated to constantly have a huge ass pet around all the time.

    I would love me a Tyrant yeah!
