Because the divide only serves to increase animosity between people who fundamentally just likes World of Warcraft, regardless of which version that may be.
ridiculing others because of their preferred version of WoW is pretty pathetic, and one would think that both versions should be able to exist without people constantly belittling each other because of the version they prefer.
Why am i only finding 68 azshara kills on allyside on wowprogress?

NEWSFLASH: The whole game's engine design is to make you compare yourself to others and even compete with; via gear, raiding progress, ranks, faction allegiance, ect...
Does this really surprise you that a game that for 15 years focusing on you upgrading yourself by competing/comparing with others has people upset that there's something competing/comparing with something they like?
This is why, despite Pandaria having an amazing storyline, I have NO problem understanding why people hated it as well. You spent a gloriously written and designed expansion espousing the reasons why we fight and what should drive it, to a bunch of doinks who for the past 10+ years only reason they fought was to get loot and good feelz achievements.
That's the whole concept of the game, it's really stupid (which is why I left right before Legion). Only reason I lurk here is a) Hope blizzard learns their lessons (they're not) and b) I hang out mostly via the Politics forums as we formed a bit of a community there over the years. ;P
(Schism now increases damage done from Priest spells and abilities only.
Developers’ notes: This is intended to be consistent with other class cooldowns.)
Cause letting classes have identity is dumb amirite? Gotta keep all classes the same as the others
