    Is Azeroth an artificial planet?

We've seen that Azeroth's deepest champers are made of machinations. Titan's machines at Northrend, Zandalar, Pandaria, Silithus and other places.

While Draenor/outlands and Argus seemed like normal planets, Azeroth looks like it's been somekind of a Death star.

    Sort of?
The Planet is a protective shell for the World soul.

The machinations however were put there by the pantheon when they cleansed and ordered the planet.

Azeroth is the ultimate special snowflake.

It's sort of a planetary cyborg. Natural core, lots of tech on top. Though it's more life support than anything.

No. When the titans discovered it, they installed the robot parts to cook the baby better without the snot-monsters eating her up.

The Titanic installations and machinery are part of a set of defensive systems designed to protect Azeroth from Old God infestation, as well as preventing the previously contained Old God entities imprisoned in its crust from re-infesting the World-Soul. This isn't normal for any given planet, much less a planet playing host to a Titan World-Soul, but it was all part of a plan to rehabilitate an infected World-Soul as opposed to Sargeras' plan of destroying potentially corrupted worlds (or all worlds as the case eventually came to be). But the planet is not itself artificial by any means, it was existing and gestating the World-Soul normally until Old God entities made landfall on its surface and began infection.

Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

    You should read chronicles

People have stated most of the story already. In addition, there's also machinery to help make the word habitable to a variety of races. Climate controls. Forges for making Titanforged races. Research facilities. Cradles of life.

We will learn the ultimate easter egg. Azeroth is really a living transformer, much like Unicron.

Well, after having been infected not by one, but by five Old Gods, it was to be expected, I guess. Wonder what does that Titan-ran planets hospital looks like...

Given the total number of Titans we've seen so far? You're looking at one.
