I'm looking forward to it because they'll want it to be a big Blizzcon this year, but with regards to what's next for WoW the leaks have been super uninteresting outside of a possible world revamp so far.

I used to get excited for WoW expansion because it felt like getting a new book in a series you have been reading since childhood.
The last few xpacks have felt like getting cheap Netflix adaptations. Rushed plots, bad character development, inconsistencies and all around cheap vibes. Why the fuck was Argus and now the Black Empire just one content patch? So that we can scale up yet another island and fill it with bad pop culture references? (Looking at you, Zandalar).
What is there to get excited for when decades of build up get smashed in two weeks' time? I was excited to go to Argus. It turned out to be a tiny green rock floating in space. I was excited to go to Ny'alotha. It turned out to be 3 instanced buildings. I won't get excited to go to the Shadowlands / the Void / whatever the next "big" thing is. It won't be satisfying and there will be no payoff for being invested in the lore.
My excitement was tempered due to how they've been handling the controversy. That said, I'm still interested to see how it all goes down. They dropped the ball for fans last year w/ the Diablo fiasco and Hearthstone stage issues. This year's Blizzcon arguably the most important one they've ever had for Western fans. I wonder if we'll even see some form of (silent?) protest by Blizzard employees.
The biggest thing I'm excited for is them to hopefully announce a WoW expansion so all the crappy leak threads will (hopefully) stop. I do like seeing what else they are working on, but I don't really get that excited for game announcements anymore.
I am super excited for absolutely chaotic combo of massive new releases, political/anti-cap protests, and complete ineptitude at handling each bit properly in tandem.
How many times while cameras be cut? how many people will be escorted out? Will the crowds boo, cheer, or do both at every announcement? Will the hearthstone stage events take place? Will people be to distracted by WC3, Diablo 4, and 9.0 to even care of the past events? Will they do a terrible opener and joke about the bans in bad taste? Will 9.0 be a good cinematic? Tinker, necro, or ranger; how will the crowd react to these disputed races and how will the frustration pair with the potential protests?
Oh, this will be fun!
Tinkers, 2 allied races, at least 1 pro-hong kong sign in view per stage is my current bet. (Cameras cut to china of course!)
If anything, Blizzcon needs to hurry up so General Discussions stops being spammed with "this is the leak" threads from 1 post troll accounts
Yup. Can’t wait for the booing and awkward shuffles as China is brought up by someone.

Very hyped and ready. Not ready for the ultimate letdown though.
only in wondering how they are gonna screw up this year.
As long as we get new expansion info I will be excited. If there is nothing major for wow but 8.3 announced it will bomb hard and the highlights will simply be all the free hong kong posters and whinnie the pooh cosplays for the lulz.
Doubt they have open questions like previously. Last guy, altohugh funny, ruined it for everyone. People using it to make gotcha questions is a sure way to remove it completely.
They probably will make it pre-chosen questions or have the people write the questions down and an announcer reads them.
yea, mop was indeed one of the better balanced expansions. Only several specs were objectively worse (shadow priest, ele was always preferred to enh, assa boring af pve wise, dks weak in pvp etc.).
As for “fun>balance”
Very subjective. It is fun only as long as your spec is performing well.
I am very excited about the announcements.
If it turns out like last year, I will be very disappointed.
Yes i'm excited. It will be a shit show with all those those closed events (overwatch to switch and 15th anniversary in Taiwan).
It begins with absence and desire. It begins with blood and fear.It begins with....
If any non-blizzard employee is intentionally allowed in front of a live mic on the actual convention floor (meaning not a pre-scheduled content creator interview) this year I will be shocked.
At the most, maybe a content creator that can be trusted hosts a q+a purely to read all of the questions.
Between diablo immortal last year and, you know, the everything this year, blizz have zero reason to trust the fans with a live mic.
