    Forgive and “not” forget.

So apparently in 8.3 Anduin hosts some kind of meeting in the Stormwind, main topic of which is “peace” with the Horde. And what do you know... Our little dear Shandris is there, talking of that oh so wonderful future with their new friends

“Rebuild”... Rebuild ashes? Rebuild the dead? Rebuild land that isnt yours anymore? Where will she “rebuild”?

You know its bad when Dark Iron Queen starts spewing things like that.

    https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...219_190043.jpg
And when Falstadt also buys into this spiel...

    https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...91/unknown.png
And of course no “peace” is complete without some of that fortune cookies “wisdom” of Velen.
Baine also appears, apparently as some kind of Horde ambassador but either has no text or just wasnt screenshotted.

The Alliance will get shafted again with the ending of the war plot, like it has every other time. Horde gets their once every 4 years genocide no fallout card and Blizzard has the Alliance sue for peace. Get ready for another Alliance city burned and people butchered on 10.0 . Be ready to be told that this time we will make them pay and for it ending with the Horde throwing one person under the bus and get away consequence free again.
What are you willing to sacrifice?

There is not enough water in Azeroth to wash away the shit that devs throw at Alliance NPCs and players.

Muradin at least tried but... he just “Did a Varian” with pointless threat.

There needs to be more mention of the War Council set-up they've got going on and how it's literally impossible for them to go on a third warpath unless 1) the entire War Council somehow turns evil or 2) the entire War Council somehow dies, and someone like Overlord "There are draenei on this world? Not for long." Geya'rah gets put in charge.

This of course doesn't absolve the Horde of its crimes, but it's at least evidence that they aren't going to be able to repeat the past, as BfA so shamelessly committed them to

Both factions are in a quite bad situation. The Horde playerbase wanted war - Blizzard says, nop, you can't fight anymore. The Alliance and especially the night elf playerbase wanted a revenge for Teldrassil - nop, you have to be friends with the Horde, it was all Sylvanas's fault.
If somebody is watching the Walking Dead series, the Alliance reminds me of the Rick and the survivors and the Horde reminds me of the Negan and the saviors in season 7 - The Horde comes into your base, takes whatever it wants and, eventually, Alliance is ending up saying "thank you for that".

Also Tyrande voicelines and Andy’s reaction are so hamfistedly pushing towards her being villanized and killed for not hugging it out with genociders that she might as well carry a literal death flag around. Lol they even changed her VA to some “nasty hag” tone.

And then it will end in 10 seconds. Because even if Tyrande starts rebelling against the rest of the Alliance, she's alone.

Anduin, Velen, Shandris, the Council of Three Hammers, Velen, Greymane (let's be real, he won't oppose his ideal son), Alleria, Turalyon, Jaina, and Mekkatorque vs. Tyrande.

Tyrande is also a hobo whose people were exterminated not long ago.

There won't be any rebellion in the Alliance. The odds are too much in Anduin's favour for this "inner conflict" to last for longer than one quest.

"Remember, control demands sacrifice. Power never comes without a price. You risk losing those closest to you in order to save them. This is the bargain we have made."

It's just a repeat of SoO where the alliance is like "don't do that again or else!" but this time they are excusing a genocide. They will absolutely forget, just like they did forget this time. We can also see they are setting up Shandris to be the leader of the night elves after they kill of Tyrande because Shandris is a good human puppet leader.

And the fact that victims of genocide who refuse to forget and forgive are now shown as villains is just... new levels of disgusting.

"Come on guys, that happened like 6 months ago! It's time to forget about it." - Anduin
    "Okay" - Shandris
    "No" - Literal Hitler Tyrande

And all that on top of Horde not even asking forgivness or returning the land. And Alliance forced not just forgive but admit that we are just as “bad”.

Yep, since after SoO when the alliance "won" the night elves had to give the horde Azshara so the horde wouldn't attack them again. Tyrande was skeptical then, but now she is evil for not trusting them after they committed genocide against her people. The horde was mostly very supportive of Sylvanas, they were even running death camps in Darkshore afterwards. But Tyrande is the evil one here because she doesn't agree with Anduin.

What is all this "both factions suffered greatly" even about? What exactly did the Horde suffer?

Lordaeron was attacked but evacuated of all civilians before the siege.
Zandalar was (and is!) not a Horde member (as Talanji makes very clear) and even if you somehow do count Zandalar as a Horde member, they only lost soldiers (and FEW of them!) in the Shitshow for Dazar'alor. They suffered a lot more casulties when Mythrax+Zul attacked the city before.

Meanwhile, an entire Alliance RACE was pushed to the brink of extinction by the Horde. Unprovoked.

I really wonder if Blizzard is aware of the damage they caused to the franchise and its fanbase with the absurd narrative of BFA. I don't know anybody who liked this story or the way it was delivered. On BOTH factions. While the Horde was portrayed to be a faction of mindless zombies who will do absolutely everything they are being told by their "queen" and then whitewashed for it like a bunch of children unable to take responsibility for their actions....the Alliance was ONCE AGAIN portrayed to be 100% useless at the ONLY thing it exists for: Common defense of homelands. Blizzard really went out of their way to make it 100% clear and unmistakeable that the Alliance will be completely unable to help in ANY WAY, even if one of their members is threatened by complete genocide. And afterwards it will tell the voctims of this genocide that they better shut up about it.

If this is a ploy to push Anduin, somebody better tells them that all BFA did was show Anduin as the "leader" of a faction without meaning or purpose.

And dosent want to accept peace based on “pinkie promise” and without even a single coin of reparations or some sort of assurance that they will not attack again.

Do we actually know if the Horde keeps Darkshore and Ashenvale, or are these just baseless assumptions?

The Gurubashi and Amani were nearly wiped out by elves/elves and humans and painted as villainous aswell. It's Blizzard writing in a nutshell, basicly.

That said, we don't even know if Tyrande'll be a villain. Her hatred seems focused on Sylvanas, not the Horde. For all we know she'll just be sacrificed in the fight against Sylvanas or w/e (since her death does seem likely).

The Horde will not "keep" them (they never had them). But the Night Elves will not get them back either. Blizzard will simply not update the zones and tell everybody that "lorewise yadda yadda..." just like after SoO, when the Horde was removed from Ashenvale.
They will only update those zones again when they give the Horde another chance to butcher more Night Elves for whatever purpose.

Too many other pieces at work, you got forsaken, night elves, worgen, Zandalari trolls, kul'tirans who took heavy hits in this war and members of the alliance military like Rogers who will jump at the slightest provocation. You got Sylvanas loyalists who will probably strokes the fires of insurrection and sabotage any hope that comes. Let's hope Nazgrel stay his ass in Outland. Gods knows what is going on with the void elves.....anyone of those shadowy fuckers can go order 66 at any moment. I understand that most of them for the most part have their shit under control but with a unchained old god limbering up to hentai fuck us all, they are prime for those whispers to turn into something else....something that can't be resisted.

Christ, this stuff is so saccharine it gave me diabetes. They all say and think the same.

Do you remember when dwarves were imperialists and Dark Irons in particular were slavers? The only one who's acting like a normal person who just waged a war with a genocidal enemy is Tyrande and we all know how that's going to end with her, given how everyone else who disagrees with Anduin ends up either exiting stage left or becoming a clone.

Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.
