Not according to the Frost Death Knight artifact Questline. Arthas's will just dominated Ner'zhul's after his very essence was deeply wounded by Illidan

Sad that now that Chaud is gone, Leaks have to pass as news for mmoc to make money...
Not according to Chronicle. In Chronicle, Arthas was unable to purge Ner'zhul from the Helm, and instead tormented him with the knowledge of his part in the orcs' damnation until he was reduced to wailing in despair, locked away within the helm.

This image, to me, suggests either Ner'zhul has awoken, or, more likely, the helm causes his eyes to glow yellow when he's actively commanding the Scourge, with the justification being that Arthas was always commanding the Scourge, with the reveal that he was holding them back from swarming over the world after ICC.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!

Are people seriously suggesting that this could be fake due to the colour of Bolvar's eyes? Come on now.

Do you *seriously* think that a hoaxer capable of creating something as elaborate as this would overlook such a glaring detail? If anything, the blue eyes makes this more believable seeing as there is a myriad of lore related explanations for the change.

Honestly, is there anyone working at Blizzard who is simply not just asleep at the switch?

Leaks are ridiculous. Should not happen. And should cost people jobs.

    No it doesn't.

the current pattern(2 expansion with multi word names and 1 with one word name.
There is no consistent naming pattern.

WoW: The Burning Crusade (The Adjective Noun)
WoW: Wrath of the Lich King (Noun of the Adjective Noun)
    WoW: Cataclysm (Noun)
WoW: Mists of Pandaria (Noun of Noun)
WoW: Warlords of Draenor (Noun of Noun)
    WoW: Legion (Noun)
WoW: Battle for Azeroth (Noun for Noun)
    WoW: Shadowlands (Noun)

So is it looking more likely, or less?

... Actually, doesn't matter much since it's just a few days left. I can't overstate just how badly I wanna see what a CE box would look like with that coloration and logo design though... :3

Echos are alert. We have interacted with Echoes throughout the history of WoW and they are alert. Doesn't make them the actual person though.

I was just saying that the 3 expansions with the name of an Azeroth location in the title, don’t have just the name of the location because without it...it would be bland. MoP and WoD both focus on the location but have a compelling reason to goto there with mists/warlords in their names. BoA as well, even if it’s just the name of the planet.

The rest are based on long-standing conflicts or significant characters of lore.

Cata is a mix because it’s about a multi-continental event caused by a character.

THEREFORE, it feel like it would be better for business...if it’s called “Secrets of the Shadowlands” or something....instead of just Shadowlands. And that’s why I think that’s a good....not fake, but.....an early draft of what it may be.

That just seems weird, maybe because Arthas was so iconic and Bolvar has been relatively absent except for Legion DK quests and occasional death-related quest series, but it is completely true.

Bolvar has worn the helmet longer than Arthas in realm time. WCIII Frozen Throne was in July, 2003 and Paragon got the world first 25H kill in March, 2010.

Bolvar has been the Lich King for the past 9.5 years. Arthas was only Lich King for 7 years.

Shout out to Ner'zhul! Who was solely the Lich King 2 days short of 1 year...or maybe Ner'zhul wins with 17.5 years since his soul has been bound to the helmet the whole time, which apparently now causes Bolvar to go blue eyes on us.

Think people are giving blizzard to much credit for bolvars eyes, likely the artist just thought it looked good blue. There not so good at continuity

Blizzard had the website taken down and removed them about an hour after they were leaked.

The links also take you to a 403 forbidden page, rather than a 404 file not found page.

Alright, now with the high res Lich King this is turning very likely. Not that it can't still be fan work, but the detail appears to be too intricate. Still don't get the part with the blue eyes. Could be they are intentionally leaking an image/model that's been work in progress or cut off? Either way four days left and the Lich King hype is always a good hype, Blizzord knows. I like that his waist appears thinner, the original Lich King was too wide.

This Bolvar image is only a still. Hes in the process of turning his whole body blue or turning his eyes red. Guarantee.

That makes sense. Let's use frostmourn to cleanse the world!
