I'm posting this new thread because the only thread on the topic is posted in such a way to be bait and as such will probably get locked imo.

Blizzard has removed the infinite grind trait in 8.3, and instead, players will be using a item to apply additional corruption resistance to their cloaks.

I agree. Hopefully this is good news for both 8.3 and 8.3.5, and then Shadowlands as a whole.

The "endless" AP grind that ended for all but the most casual players many many weeks ago? It may not be a great system, but anything they implement to give purpose to continuing to play your character is lambasted by the forum crowds as an "endless grind".

Thank goodness. Also the upgrade is done via an item drop from Nzoth/Horrific Visions with a mask buff which sounds a lot better than getting +1 corruption to your cap resistance whenever your bar had finally filled.

We’ve heard a lot of feedback from players, and we agree, that there’s value in being able to reach a point where you’re essentially done with Artifact Power.

They agreed that the endless grind need to stop somewhere.

That's fantastic news! No more soft caps. Hard cap everything, then increase the caps when you add content. That's the way to go.

I'm not sure who they recently hired but they're finally making good decisions which is contrary to what they've been doing the last 3-4 years.

They have OCD, thats all, you can find a ton of 9/9M raiders who still dont have their neck on 70, maybe not even 67.

This is false information. The endless grind is still there, you can still gain +2 ils on your neck endlessly. The only bit removed is the corruption bit. Blizzard was very misleading with their information and, of course, icy veins doesn't know how to properly relay information to the playerbase.

9/9M raiders dont ever needed to cap their neck but somehow little jimmy who does LFR feels forced to farm ap, hilarious.
