Exclamation scott walkers final send off to the wisconsin people.

i know the article is from last year but the changes don't actually take effect until this coming february.
as of this feb. anyone making over around 6700$ and is childless has to pay a premium to stay enrolled in badgercare AND an additionial premium for any NON emergency AT THE DOCTOR'S DISCRECTION. i just got the letter today. 8$ is a lot to poor people and it can mean the difference between eating and not eating. but of course i can't wait for the usual suspects to come rolling in and saying we poor people deserve it cause we are subhuman scum who don't deserve food. or healthcare. it is also mandates that people go in for drug tests and maintain a job to be on it.....which will cause them to go above the 6700$ threshold unless they want to live in a fucking cardboard box under the bridge. with the approval of the trumpdinberg as i like to call him. i bet the trumpers are real happy. and in case you can't tell yes i am pissed.

btw can a mod move this to politics i forgot to put it in there?

Wisconsinites tried to get him out via petition, but didn't work. It's about time that he was kicked out of office there. None of my relatives like him and he's not for the public education system in Wisconsin. good riddance!

I like how poor people find the way to pay $15 a month for warcraft, but paying $8 for their own healthcare is a severe strain to their budget

Might as well get a job and earn some real world money with all that effort.

Eh, in the US at least, jobs can be pretty hard to come by in many areas. It's way less effort to earn gold in WoW than to somehow find a way to move town with no money if the one you live in has no one hiring. Poverty is a choice for some, but most people living in it require outside help in one form or another - programs, just people giving them a chance, etc - to get out of it.
I agree that it is wrong to only play WoW instead of trying, but I don't believe that anyone can easily get a job with the same kind of effort. It's perfectly possible to put in a lot of effort and keep failing.

    Lots of assumptions.....
maybe he has a job and the bitch ass wages don't pay even the most minimalistic cost every month.

Maybe he plays wow for free instead of going out, movies, eating out, to save money but still stay entertained...…

Maybe you also missed the part of the job requirement under those govt benefits?

Maybe put some effort into understanding....

There is always endless excuses for people that don't want to work or can't find work. Save yourself some time and just leave the thread. It will soon be a huge circle jerk of Anti-republican / socialism is da bes talk.. If it hasn't already gotten there.

interesting how you and @Yadryonych automatically assumed these were people that don't work whom are effected....how "poor people" must automatically mean they are people that don't want to work or can't find work.

even though the OP clearly stated "as of this feb. anyone making over around 6700$."

Maybe before you go off on your welfare queen talking points and tirades you should slow down and read the post?

Read something that challenges his own narrative?
Likely that takes too much work for him to do.

You know, poor people need entertainment too. Mental health is a thing.

For the couple years I was on disability after my spinal thing, WoW was literally my only entertainment expense. Couldn't afford anything else after bills. Your argument would have been "why don't you just stare at a wall you disabled fuck?"

Interesting how you assumed I am talking about the OP. People that don't wanna work or can't find work do come up with many excuses. But you can assume anything you want about anything. GG EZPZ

What is it with conservatives and this sort of cartoonish dickishness? I don't recall any equivalent of liberals doing things like this to punish right wingers.

Yeah, it's somewhat easy in metropolitan areas to be honest. Much harder in rural areas. I've been there, few if any job offers in town and out of town employers prefer for them local workers. Sometimes people can't do more than apply for the jobs offered and hope for the best. WoW meanwhile might be slow, but like a lot of RPG success is pretty much guaranteed at some point. It's faster to earn the money for a sub in a proper job than the gold in WoW, but in the latter you only need someone in the huge market of the auction house to buy your stuff. Or, heck, you can just farm gold directly, provided by the game out of thin air. Real money needs someone willing to pay you, which can be a lot harder to come by in less developed areas.

Nice. I wish Michigan would force these lazy people here to get jobs to get their welfare.

If $8 is a lot to you then you do not have a PC gaming rig and an internet connection and a WoW sub. That's two very different groups of people, obviously.
