Yeah we get it. Anybody that supports human rights, free speech, and democracy is banned by China.

*cough* Abu Ghraib, drone strikes, general prisoner abuse, execution of unarmed civilians, etc and that's just the things we know about. US military supports a lot of things, but the bolded one - I am not so sure about.

And? Feel free to talk about it and even bring legal cases against the government if there was illegal activity. Nobodies going to ban you for disagreeing with a policy.

I mean...were we going to? Trump had to sign that bill crying like a bitch, and needs China's crumbs to survive 2020. This seems mostly symbolic.

They.. Already weren't allowed to enter.

Sending your military into another country without permission is called an invasion (And China sure as shit wasn't going to give permission anyway), and I really don't think anyone is super keen on starting world war 3 over Hong Kong.

A move so unsurprising, I had thought up until this point the US Military was banned anyway. It's not like if we had deployed guys over there they would've welcomed them with open arms anyway.

I think it is supposed to mean that members of the US military won't be allowed to travel there, as private citizens. Noone talks about deployment, I think. And since NATO combatants have to state that they are one when applying for a visa, they will simply be denied the visa.

There isn't really much that the military can even do there without escalating things further, unfortunately.

You couldn't beat North Vietnam, what makes you think beating China is even remotely possible?

Ah yes, the US military.. Famous for bringing human rights, free speech and democracy...

It's a good thing they are banned.
China has been too passive, they need to go on the offensive against the US.

    Easy.

    Bigger economy than the US.

    Bigger Army than the US.

Soldier more dronish than the US.

It's weird how often people like you call for violence and oppression.

You do realize that Hong Kong has long been used as a port of Call for American ships. Is it a big deal? Nah, not really. There's a hundred other ports that will gladly take the ships for a few days.

That is normal? The hell is this thread is even about? Next you're going to complain that Mexico also does not allow the US military?

None of which the US supports lol.

I'm sure Gitmo is a bastion of all of those.

I see no problem with this. We should leave them alone anyway. Let them work out their own issues. Not our country.
