Prices in Finland are generally bad and jimms is one of the worst place you could buy from. Good selection, bad prices. If you're lucky enough to live in Germany, check out mindfactory, used to be the go to place to order from... for all europe basically until recently when they stopped shipping abroad.

Probably for VAT reasons, that's the usual reason some EU companies don't ship abroad.

The VAT rate is different in EU countries. Some products/services have reduced VAT rates but the standard rate is afaik anywhere between 17-27%.
Businesses who have sales over a certain yearly amount to another EU country must pay VAT to that country, and there's quite a bit of paperwork involved in that process. The sales volumes for Mindfactory to other EU countries probably wasn't large enough to motivate dealing with all that.
Before they stopped shipping abroad you'd only pay German VAT on any purchase even though you were not in Germany. I'm guessing tax administration noticed that or there was some change to tax law that made whatever loophole they previously used no longer possible.

Btw you can still use Mindfactory outside Germany but you have to use a service like mailboxde or something similar to forward your packages from Germany.

Well, they did, prior to the widespread adoption of the Euro, so, very likely, whithin your lifetime, they did.

Fun fact, Finland and Germany both used the same name for their currencies before the switch to euro.
    Deutsche Mark
    Finnish markka
