Sometimes differences in site appearance is all it takes to gravitate users one way or another in terms of engagement. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with having multiple sources for your news, guides, leaks, or otherwise. It can reinforce information you're not sure about. Conversation surrounding everything will be different across the web. For example, looking at a guide for a spec can net you different results, and cross-referencing the information can tell you what information is generally agreed upon and what information is tentative. Even if the large strokes are largely the same, fine print on reasoning between sites can sometimes differ, and can grant insight in to how people come to the conclusions they come to when making their guide which can help inform you on understanding these things more.
