Nice. Even if the story is garbage, the monster action looks satisfying.
Wondering if Godzilla causing unprovoked destruction is similar to the 1974 film where it's Mechagodzilla in disguise. Hopefully not sent by monkey space aliens... that'd be a bit too silly.

Ermagerd! That trailer was totally awesome, wow they are fighting on top of an aircraft carrier!!
I really hope the big bad will be Terminatorzilla!
First second I thought I could see something which looked like Ghydora ?
At like 0.04seconds in flying over the people fleeing off the stairs.

He got a fucking war axe....kinda badass.
It looks like they made godzilla smaller.

If the toys did indeed spoil Mechagodzilla, please bring back:

Beginning of trailer is a creature that can warp light and be invisible or the most likely answer it is Mechazilla
I remain amused by the bizarre worldbuilding around the monsters. For some reason the Navy is still using big gun battleships in this universe, alongside F-22 and F-35s. Maybe 16' guns are useful against monsters? (Maybe if they had modern turrets and targeting systems, but that one was clearly a WWII Iowa Class).
Overall I am kind of confused as to what purpose the military actually serves in this setting. In a world where the military has known about Monsters of this scale for at least half a century, they remain completely incapable of fighting them. Sure, I am sure they probably deploy Mecha-Godzilla or something, but that doesn't explain sticking a Nimitz Class carrier right next to a giant monkey that has personally pissed off the resident force of nature.
It's not supposed to be real...just look cool...ofc irl godzilla would be hit from long-range n loads of torpedoes if he got close..
